Taylor Swift may be Mother to her millions of fans, but she is actually an auntie to her besties Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ daughters. In fact she loves them so much, she even gave them a special shout-out at her Eras tour concert in Philadelphia over the weekend!
Taylor Swift Says Hi to James & Inez During the Eras Tour
A video taken by a fan showing the moment has gone viral. The “Anti-Hero” singer is singing her 10-minute version of “All Too Well,” when she pauses during an instrumental break to strum her guitar. She looks over at the VIP tent, where Lively is watching the show with her eldest daughters James, 8, and Inez, 6. At one point, she smiles and mouths, “Hi, James! Hi, Nezzy!” while looking at the little girls.
Our hearts just exploded with the cuteness! We can’t see the girls’ reactions, but we bet they were just beaming (who wouldn’t be?!).
Of course, this isn’t the first time the “Karma” singer gave a shout-out to the girls. She used the names James, Inez, and Betty (Reynolds and Lively’s 3-year-old daughter) in many of the songs on her folklore album. Some fans have even speculated that she name-dropped the couple’s fourth 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢, born earlier this year, on her Midnights album.
Taylor Swift Walks with James, Inez, & Blake Lively After the Concert
After the concert, fans captured videos of Swift walking hand-in-hand with James (and whispering something in her ear), while Lively carried Inez. You can see how close their relationship is by the way James is grinning ear-to-ear while walking with Swift.
Last month, Swift was spotted with Lively and Reynolds at dinner in New York City, followed by a girls’ night with Lively, Gigi Hadid, and Alana, Danielle and Este Haim.
Taylor Swift Is an ‘Aunt’ to Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s Kids
The Deadpool star shared some details about his daughters’ close relationship with the pop icon in a Nov. 2022 interview on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show.
“[Taylor Swift is] like a religion in our house. In fact, I’m not making this up. We are having a Taylor Swift Midnights dance party in, uh, right after this,” Reynolds said, adding that he doesn’t even care if his daughters curse when listening to Swift.
“It’s Sunday. We’re headed straight to the porch where we’re doing a full dance number set to Midnights. Swear words included. My favorite thing is when a 3-year-old is just throwing down the f-bomb in a song,” he quipped.
Reynolds also opened up about how the kids view their “Aunt” Taylor.
“I think what’s most exciting for them is that for the longest time they just thought Taylor’s just a, you know, like an aunt, like a friend of mommy and daddy that’s very, very close, almost family,” he explained. “And then they went to a concert one day and were like, ‘Oh… Oh this isn’t a hobby.’” So cute!
Despite her fame, Swift still makes time for her young fans, and we love that. She seems so genuine with them!
