“Sisters in Paris” – Serena Williams’ daughter Olympia adorably holds 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 sister Adira’s hand on streets of Paris during family’s Olympics trip

Serena Williams’ daughter Olympia shared an adorable picture with her younger sister Adira from the streets of Paris. Their family is in the French capital for the ongoing Olympic Games.

Williams is regarded as one of the most successful tennis players ever, having won 23 Grand Slams, the most by a female player in the Open Era. The 42-year-old met Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in 2015, and they married two years later. The couple have two daughters, Olympia, born in September 2017, and Adira, born in August 2023.

Williams recently had the honor of carrying the Olympic torch during the opening ceremony of the quadrennial event, much to Olympia’s delight, and the latter also collected many mementos from the Games.

The six-year-old also has a personal Instagram account, where she shares glimpses of her life. She recently shared an adorable picture, holding her younger sister’s hand:

“I’ll definitely have that conversation with them”: Serena Williams on explaining her impact on tennis to Olympia and Adira

In an interview with The New York Times in June, Serena Williams revealed that she finds it “tricky” to share her achievements with Olympia. The 42-year-old, however, added that she will discuss her impact on sport and beyond with her daughters in the future.

“It’s tricky. Olympia told me the other day, ‘You’re famous.’ And I’m like: ‘Oh, not really. I’m just your mom.’ So I don’t know. I just feel like when the time comes — and, honestly, when it’s settled in for me too — I’ll definitely have that conversation with them, and I’ll let them know the potentially, the important, you know, the … I don’t want to be too presumptuous, but the impact I have had on sport and beyond,” Williams said.

In the interview, Williams also said she finds it challenging to push her daughters as her father did with her. At the same time, she acknowledged how important her father’s push was to her success.

“I always look at my dad, and I think, How were you able to do that? Because I’m like, ‘Oh, they’re so cute.’ I just want them to relax and I don’t want to over-push them. But I would be devastated if I wasn’t pushed, because we wouldn’t be having this interview and there would never have been a Serena Williams,” she said.

Williams retired from professional tennis following her 7-6, 6-7, 6-1 loss to Australia’s Ajla Tomljanović at the 2022 US Open.
