WNBA star Angel Reese stood out on the red carpet and earned praise from Rihanna.
Reese, 22, enjoyed an impressive rookie year as a professional with Chicago Sky despite a wrist injury that cut her season short.
The 6-foot-3 forward has also seen her fanbase grow, which in turn led to a series of glamorous appearances for the likes of the Met Gala, Louis Vuitton and the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
The WNBA star continues to attend high-profile events where she mingles with top celebrities.
Reese did just that on Wednesday in New York as she was spotted at the 2024 Footwear News Achievement Awards.
The basketball star appeared in a black ensemble and posed for the cameras on the red carpet.
The Maryland ace then met up with music legend Rihanna, who also attended the event.
And the pop star gave Reese a public nod of approval as they posed for a picture together.
Rihanna then posted on social media: “She is the one.”
Reese made more noise that night as she also won Style Influencer of the Year.
