Nigerian-born boxer Anthony Joshua to fight Zhilei Zhang and Agit Kabayel winner for the for WBC interim belt.

There is now a way for Nigerian-born boxer Anthony Joshua to challenge for a world title without having to take on Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury, or Daniel Dubois.

Joshua, a two-time heavyweight champion was knocked out at Wembley Stadium in September, failing to win the IBF title from Dubois.

Dubois is scheduled to defend his championship against Joseph Parker in February, but Joshua has been connected to a rematch with him.

The WBC has agreed to sanction an interim title battle between Zhilei Zhang and Agit Kabayel, but the Ukrainian will defend the remaining major belts, including the WBC gold, against Fury.
