Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds enjoy a date night while the legal drama involving Justin Baldoni unfolds

The ‘Gossip Girl’ actress hasn’t been seen in weeks.

As Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s lawyers met for the first time during a hearing on Monday, February 3, Ryan Reynolds shared a rare glimpse of a date night with the Gossip Girl alum. Just hours after a judge set the It Ends With Us co-stars’ court date for March 2026, Lively could be seen cozying up to Reynolds in a sweet selfie–marking the first time Lively has been seen in weeks amid her ongoing legal battle with Baldoni.

With “Only Wanna Be With You” by Hootie & the Blowfish playing in the background, Lively and Reynolds could be seen exploring a city during a casual night out. Wearing her blonde hair in a casual, side-parted hairstyle, the Betty Booze entrepreneur could be seen wearing a brown-and-black checkered tartan jacket with a taupe quarter zip sweater underneath. Meanwhile, Reynolds opted for a black-and-white checkered shirt over a white t-shirt and glasses.

The couple’s loved-up social media appearance comes amid their legal drama with Baldoni. Following months of speculation of a rift between Lively and Baldoni on the set of It Ends With Us, Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni and his production Wayfarerer Studios in December 2024 alleging 𝓈ℯ𝓍ual harassment during their time on set. She also alleged that Baldoni orchestrated a retaliatory smear campaign against her for speaking out.

Meanwhile, in January, Baldoni counter-sued Lively and Reynolds for $400 million, alleging defamation, civil extortion, false light invasion of privacy, breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, intentional interference with contractual relations, intentional interference with prospective economic advantage, and negligent interference with prospective economic advantage.

It was Baldoni’s second legal action, as he also sued the New York Times for its initial report of Lively’s case titled “‘We Can Bury Anyone’: Inside a Hollywood Smear Machine.”  In response, The Times defended its article as “meticulously and responsibly reported.”

During Monday’s hearing, Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman told the judge that his clients were “devastated financially and emotionally” by the drama surrounding the lawsuits, and was hoping to move forward quickly with the case, per CNN. Meanwhile, Lively’s lawyer Michael Gottlieb called Baldoni’s “retaliation campaign” “devastating” for the Blake Brown founder. He also revealed that he plans to file an additional complaint with new allegations against Baldoni and new defendants by February 14.
