Chaos at Boosie Badazz Concert: Two Critically Injured in Shocking Shooting!

Boosie Badazz’s concert in Akron, Ohio has left two critically injured after shots rang out while the star was on stage – seven months after two were 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ed at the rapper’s past performance. The incident took place at the FieldHouse Lounge on Monday where ‘a fight broke out, and an unidentified male suspect fired multiple shots, striking the victims. The suspect fled the scene following the shooting,’ according to WKYC.

Two men – ages 18 and 36 – had ‘apparent’ gunshot wounds and were transported to a local hospital in ‘critical condition,’ per Cleveland 19 News.  A 25-year-old man also arrived to a nearby emergency room with a ‘graze gunshot injury.’ The reported shooting took place around 2:00am local time, and a call for help was placed by two off-duty officers who were acting as security at the venue.

A video on X captured the moment as a fan filmed Boosie Badazz – whose real name is Torrence Ivy Hatch Jr. – was on stage surrounded by other attendees when two loud bangs echoed around the dimly lit lounge.

The performer could be seen ducking as he backed away from the main stage while concertgoers let out panicked yells and also ducked. Akron PD Deputy Chief Michael Miller also informed TMZ Hip Hop that one shot had been fired when the rapper was on the stage.

The gunman may have entered the lounge through a ‘blind spot’ or second door because there was security at the front – as well scanners. The suspect – who has also been identified as male – left the venue on foot, and the motive is currently not known. However, an altercation seemingly took place inside which resulted in the gunman firing with a semiautomatic weapon. Following the incident, shell casings were found at the venue and officers are currently looking for surveillance footage that could assist in hunting down the suspect.

The FieldHouse Lounge also issued a statement on Instagram after the shooting which read: ‘We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that took place at our establishment last night. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and everyone affected by this event. To our loyal customers and supporters, we sincerely apologize for the fear and distress this incident has caused.’

The statement concluded with the venue stating ‘we are committed to fully cooperate with the city of Akron to ensure the safety of our community.’ It comes seven months after two men were fatally shot prior to an outdoor show in Pacific Junction, Iowa that was headlined by Boosie Badazz.

The rapper was among the performers slated to play a show at the I-29 Speedway titled The Pull Up Car Show and Music Fest, organizers said. Omaha, Nebraska natives Marcus L. Johnson, 28, and Charles A. Williams Jr., 27, ‘died as a result of the shooting,’ in the parking lot at the venue, the Iowa Department of Public Safety said in a statement. Musical artists including Rob49 and Rich the Factor, and comedians Josh El Stupo & Scruncho, had also been advertised to also play at the event, organizers said. The comedy performances were slated to commence at 6 p.m., while the musical artists were slated to take the stage from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The FieldHouse Lounge also issued a statement on Instagram after the shooting which read: ‘We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that took place at our establishment last night’ According to the Iowa DPS, authorities with the the Mills County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting ‘at approximately 8:59 p.m.’ Authorities had ‘secured’ the area where the shooting had taken place at 10:30 p.m., according to the radio conglomerate KMA Land. Law enforcement was seeking ‘at least three subjects, reportedly in a black Mercedes sedan,’ KMA Land reported.

The Omaha Police helicopter ABLE-1 was requested by authorities to conduct a thorough search of the surrounding region, according to KMA Land. Boosie was not apparently aware a shooting had occurred in an Instagram clip he posted to more than 1 million followers after the show was canceled. ‘They just shut the concert down,’ Boosie said as he appeared to be seated in a vehicle. ‘I’ve been in the back a couple of hours waiting to perform and they just shut the concert down – I don’t know – some s*** happened in the front.’ Boosie said he was headed to a nearby lounge in the wake of the canceled show.

At the time, officials with the Iowa DPS said that their probe into the incident was continuing and ‘no additional information will be released at this time.’ The Iowa DPS said that ‘the Mills County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, Iowa State Patrol, Omaha Police Department, and several surrounding law enforcement agencies’ in their investigation.
