SZA Attends Kendrick Lamar’s Toronto Show – Fans Question Drake Loyalty!

SZA has finally been asked the question that’s been on everyone’s mind about her upcoming tour with Kendrick Lamar: what will you do if Drake shows up?

The Grand National Tour stops in Toronto for two nights in June, something Jimmy Kimmel noted when SZA appeared on his show on Tuesday (March 11).

“You’re going to Toronto for two nights,” the host said. “Are you worried about it at all?”

“Are you worried?” a seemingly nonplussed SZA responded. “I think it’s gonna be so fun.”

“What if you-know-who shows up to the show in Toronto?” Kimmel asked, referring to Drake.

SZA pretended not to know who he was talking about.

“Who knows who?” she jokingly asked.

Check it out below, beginning at around the seven minute mark.

In other SZA and Kendrick news, their collaboration “Luther” has remained at the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart for the third week in a row.

Billboard confirmed the track’s spot on Monday (March 10). The song now ties “Not Like Us” and “Like That” for Kendrick’s longest stay at No. 1.

The duo, as mentioned, are set to hit the road soon on their Grand National Tour, which was announced earlier this year.

The arena tour kicks off on April 19 in Minneapolis, MN and wraps up on June 18 in Landover, MD, with stops in cities such as Houston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Chicago along the way.

The roadshow will also swing through Kendrick’s native Los Angeles and SZA’s birthplace of St. Louis, as well as the hometown of Kendrick’s fierce rival Drake, Toronto.

In January, SZA also made it clear that she’s open to doing a full album with Kendrick after Sherri Shepherd said their collabs were the results of pairing “a genius with a genius.”

“Would you and Kendrick together consider doing a joint album?” Shepherd asked on her talk show.

“I would love that,” SZA replied, to audience applause.

“I think that would be amazing,” she elaborated. “He’s such a genius, and part of his genius is him being so elusive and so mysterious. I don’t know what’s going on as much as you don’t know what’s going on. When ‘Luther’ came out, I said, okay, that’s the vocals we’re using. And same with ‘Gloria.’

“I love that… He’s a huge part of my ‘fumbling and finding’ era, because I’m just trusting all of his expertise and being thrust into these moments. He’s so good at saying yes and staying grounded, so I’m just like, ‘Teach me, Sensei, what you know.’”
