Kim Kardashian made a rare comment on her first marriage on this week’s episode of her new Hulu series The Kardashians. Back in 2000, at the tender age of 19, Kim eloped in Las Vegas with a record producer nearly a decade her senior called Damon Thomas.
They divorced in 2004, and years later she claimed that she was ‘on ecstasy’ when she tied the knot with Damon, who himself has publicly denied as much. Now 44 and a globally renowned reality TV superstar, Kim looked back at the unorthodox ensemble she wore when they exchanged vows.
‘My first wedding, I wore leather capris with a leather halter top with no back and big Prada wedges,’ she dished, via People. ‘It was so cute.’ Over the course of the same episode, she also remembered her nuptials with NBA star Kris Humphries, whom she infamously split from after 72 days of marriage.

She wore a sumptuous Vera Wang gown to marry Kris in 2011, because ‘I really wanted a princess vibe because I was like, when else will I ever do this?’ she said. Kim made only a glancing reference to the ‘beautiful’ Givenchy dress in which she married Kanye West, at a glamorous 2014 ceremony in Florence.
The full episode will be available for streaming Thursday, two days after Kanye was spotted outside a Los Angeles warehouse with their 11-year-old daughter North. Kanye has been tweeting virotic communications toward Kim, in a brutal flare-up between the exes, who share four children.
The Chicago native, 47, took aim at his ex-wife in a series of tweets Tuesday in which he said that he was put off by a white woman being in control of his black children. The 24-time Grammy winner’s comments directed at Kim came in reaction to a planned musical collaboration between his daughter North, 11, and rapper Playboi Carti, 28, which he opposes.
Meanwhile, last weekend, Kanye dropped a new song featuring North and Diddy – a project that has become a source of furious contention between Kanye and Kim. West is father to four children with Kardashian, 44: daughters North, 11, and Chicago, seven; and sons Saint, nine, and Psalm, five.

The Bound 2 performer was seen sleeping in a vehicle with North in the City of Angels while in the passenger seat. North was subsequently seen being accompanied to another vehicle by a nanny, according to the photographer. West continued: ‘So a white women has control over the name and likeness of my Black children and then speaks to carti about putting my daughter on a song with him.’
The Bound 2 performer added that ‘these [dumb a**] celebrities be trying to play with me in my face. ‘So Kim got the name and likeness over my black children,’ the Stronger artist said on X/Twitter Tuesday morning.
The Runaway artist explained in an earlier tweet Tuesday evening that he wasn’t comfortable letting North work with Playboi Carti, when he is not directly involved with the project. ‘I decided North wont be doing any songs with Carti,’ West said. ‘How it look for me to get left off the album and then he ask Kim to have vocals from my daughter.’ The Paranoid vocalist added, ‘I dont a f*** about none of this industry s*** and how its a skims line in the first place and I dont give a f*** what no comments.’
West cited his beliefs in terms of how gender relates to co-parenting, saying that ‘the man has the first and final say over his kids.’ The Gold Digger artist previously said Sunday that ‘the man makes the final decision.’

West was critical of Playboy Carti for not collaborating with him amid recent controversies, citing how he included him on his 2024 hit single CARNIVAL. ‘Hey North your dad gave me my biggest song and co sign and I left him off of my album because of his tweets … oh but north you my niece I gotta use your vocals.’
The Through the Wire vocalist said Playboy Carti was out of line in going behind his back to seal the collab with North: ‘I held my tongue about [not] being on carti album. West said that he hadn’t seen son Saint in six weeks, to which a follower asked him, ‘Have you considered calling Kris and asking for a visit instead of airing this laundry online?’ West replied, ‘So do you think I should have to ask Kris Jenner to see my Black kids?

‘Yo, this whole time I’ve been tweeting for the past five weeks, I’ve been expressing myself and now like, you know, it’s been very therapeutic,’ the All Falls Down artist explained.
He cited fellow singer John Legend, 46, who he has worked with on tracks such as American Boy and One Man Can Change the World, as a one-time friend who betrayed him over his political leanings in supporting President Donald Trump, who has feuded with Legend’s spouse Chrissy Teigen.
‘I never really realized the amount of times that I’ve been crossed – like take John Legend for instance, like I definitely changed his life, you know, brought him up all that and You know he just went against me because I like Trump.’
West noted how the All of Me singer, an outspoken Democrat, ‘became a very vocal person’ against him for his politics, despite giving him massive breaks in his career.
Legend ‘just didn’t appreciate it,’ West said, adding that he just deals ‘with that and gets to a happy place’ mentally despite the ugly betrayal of a one-time friend.

West said that the aforementioned transaction involving Playboy Carti triggered him, as he felt again, he had been used by someone who he had helped achieve their level of fame and status.
West said he understood why Playboy Carti had to distance himself from him amid his torrent of anti-Semitic remarks – referred to as ‘the Jewish s***’ – but thought he went too far recruiting North to sing on his album, adding, ‘I feel like I’m being gassed.’
