He suffered an injury after getting shot in the leg but is expected to make a full recovery, his family told TMZ. The rapper, born Albert Walker Mondane, is currently in the hospital and is in non-critical condition after the shooting outside of the Westin Hotel, according to local news outlet FOX13.
It appeared that he was not the target of the shooting and was injured in the deadly attack. Meanwhile, an unidentified man who was with the rapper was reportedly shot and šš¾ššed.

The man who was reportedly shopping with Sauce Walka was pronounced dead at the scene, the Memphis Police Department told FOX13. Local police said the incident was a targeted drive-by shooting, per the outlet, but have not yet confirmed the victims’ identities.
According to the outlet, police officers have identified the car in the drive-by shooting and an investigation is underway.Ā After confirming the incident was not a random act of violence, the police said they are working to make an arrest.Ā Many unconfirmed reports claim that Sayso P was the man who was fatally shot in the attack in broad daylight.
The musical artist is signed to Sauce Walka’s independent record label The Sauce Factory.Ā Sauce Walka began rapping in 2007 under the stage name A-Walk, according to Genius.
He was also a member of a rap group called Mostheadgiver before he started releasing solo mixtapes under his current moniker in 2014.
