Kim Kardashian broke her silence on daughter North West’s cameo in FKA Twigs’ Childlike Things music video, after some fans slammed it as ‘inappropriate.’

The reality TV star, 44, took to her Instagram on Thursday to share some behind-the-scenes footage from the music video shoot. The mom-of-four,  who is currently embroiled in a ‘nuclear’ war with ex Kanye West, 47 – also revealed the was ‘proud’ of her 11-year-old. ‘Proud of my 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢,’ she wrote in the caption of her post. The star also shared more clips of North to her Stories.

In the footage, the budding singer was pictured rapping in Japanese alongside Twigs, clad in a white fur coat.  North’s futuristic look was accessorized with white glasses, a chunky silver necklace and other silver jewelry.

North also sported long manicured nails for the video.  It comes after Kim was was blasted by fans earlier in the day, after she shared a snippet of the lengthy video, which officially dropped on Thursday.  Earlier this year in January, North made a surprise feature as she fluently rapped in Japanese on the British singer’s track from her third studio album, EUSEXUA.

The music video also comes not long after Kanye fumed over Kim’s ‘control’ over his ‘black children’ in a row over their eldest child North. The two stars also share Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, five. The pre-teen’s brief appearance in the eight-minute video occurs towards the end.

Another typed, ‘I see why Kanye is mad. This is inappropriate,’ and one added, ‘No. Sorry this is weird.’  An X user also commented on the video with, ‘Childlike things and adult dancers. This all looks weird.’   One shared, ‘I thought it would be sparkly and bright with the title “Childlike Things”. Seems more provocative and dark, which is a little concerning. It made me a little nauseous.’  However, others came to the defense of Kim and her daughter with one typing, ‘i still don’t get the hate around this song.

‘North wrote her verse herself, she wasn’t saying anything inappropriate for a kid, she is also dressed age-appropriately, where’s the issue? the kid ate down,’ they continued. And over on Instagram, another fan added, ‘She kinda ate,’ while one penned, ‘She’s slayinggggggg.’ ‘Awe she’s like her mommy with so many talents she can’t even begin to name them,’ another wrote.  But some had differing opinions on the social media platform, with one penning, ‘This definitely not passing 1.2 million likes on instagram.’

Last year in August, North stunned listeners when she also sang in Japanese on his Vultures 2 album with the track Bomb.  North also previously announced her plans to release a debut album called Elementary School Dropout, and pays tribute to Kanye’s 2004 LP, The College Dropout. She made the big announcement at a Vultures 2 listening party in Arizona with her father Kanye – who also goes by Ye – standing nearby on stage.  ‘Hi, it’s Northie, and I’ve been working on an album. And it’s called Elementary School Drop Out,’ she expressed at the time, which resulted in the crowd to erupt into cheers and applause.  Kim has recently been embroiled in a ‘nuclear’ war with her ex-husband.

It comes shortly after he posted a song onto X titled Lonely Roads Still Go To Sunshine that featured vocals from their daughter North and disgraced jailed rapper Diddy – who is facing 𝓈ℯ𝓍 trafficking charges and 𝓈ℯ𝓍ual assault lawsuits. TMZ reported that Kim has considered going to court in order to get full custody of their four children – and also allegedly had an emergency meeting with Kanye over their daughter North. West recently lashed out at Kim on X over his visitation rights and wrote that his ‘rights have been taken away by the Kardashian mob, Hulu and Disney’ and added that others that have opinions about him are ‘slaves to the Jews.’

A source also informed DailyMail.com that Kim has since taken legal action to prevent the song featuring North and Diddy from being released. West also uploaded a heated text exchange between him and Kim on X – which has since been taken down. She seemingly was telling her ex that she has copyright to their eldest child’s name, which could possibly prevent him to having North included on the song. Not long after the track was shared to social media, an insider informed DailyMail.com that Kim ‘will do whatever it takes to protect her kids from the hateful speech that Kanye continues to spur at this time.’ The reality star ‘has requested through a judge to not allow the kids to be around that type of behavior.’ Kanye also shared in posts on X that he didn’t want his daughter North collaborating with Playboi Carti after he was excluded from a project.  The rapper additionally fumed over Kim’s ‘control’ over their kids and posted last week, ‘So Kim got the name and likeness over my black children.’
