MINO’s BOMBSHELL CONFESSION: Public Service Scandal Leads to Departure!

According to a report by the Chosun Ilbo, a representative from the Korean National Police Agency stated during a press briefing on March 31, “Song Min-ho, who is under investigation for alleged neglect of duty during his social service, has completed his third round of questioning and has largely admitted to leaving his workplace during working hours.”

The official also revealed that a search and seizure, along with a digital communications investigation, had been carried out, and added, “We are currently reviewing the evidence to determine whether formal charges will be pursued.”

Song Min-ho served as a public service worker from March 2023 until December of the same year. However, during that period, suspicions arose that he had repeatedly failed to report to work or had left his assigned post without permission.

While whistleblower reports about his work conduct began to circulate, staff at the facility where he was stationed reportedly declined to provide attendance logs or CCTV footage, citing privacy concerns.

Following these reports, the Military Manpower Administration requested a formal investigation by the police. Authorities noted that if Song’s neglect of duty is confirmed, his discharge could be revoked and he may be required to resume service for the disputed period.

The police investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
