Kevin Hart’s Son Hendrix, 17, Towers Over Him in New Photo as the Actor Jokes He’s ‘Not Sure When This Happened’: ‘Pisses Me Off’

Kevin Hart’s son is officially taller than him — and the actor had a hilarious reaction to learning the news.

The comedian, 45, shared a photo of himself and his 17-year-old son Hendrix on Instagram on Sunday, April 6, as the two posed together on a beach. Hart could be seen on the right, wearing a backwards baseball cap and a watch, putting his arm around his son.

Hendrix posed on the left, covering his face with one hand and standing almost a head taller than his dad. “Not sure when this happened but it happened….” Hart wrote in his caption. “He’s officially towering over me 😂😂😂😂.”

“S— pisses me off …. But I love the kid to death… My guuuuuyyyy #Harts,” he added.

The *Think Like A Man* alum shares his older kids, son Hendrix and daughter Heaven, 19, with his ex-wife, Torrei Hart. After splitting from Torrei in 2011, Hart married Eniko Hart. They went on to welcome daughter Kaori, 4, and son Kenzo, 7.

Speaking with PEOPLE at the New York City premiere of Apple TV+’s *Number One on the Call Sheet* in early March, Hart opened up about his fatherhood journey. The father of four told PEOPLE that he prays that all of the “crash courses” he gives his kids are steering them in the right direction.

“I just can hope and pray that I’m being the best example possible,” the *Lift* star told PEOPLE. “I think as parents we all give crash courses and what we deem to be education or great direction. You can only hope that your kids are picking up as much as you’re putting down.”

“It all does click at a certain time for children, especially as they become young adults,” he continued. “You can hope when it’s all said and done … that all that information comes into play at some point. I can just hope and pray that the example that I think I’m being is the example that I really am being and all my time and all my energy that I’m throwing to them on a day to day is not going unnoticed.”

At the premiere, he told PEOPLE that above all else, Hart simply wants his kids to be happy.

“I think I have very good kids, well-mannered kids, but most importantly happy kids,” the actor shared. “My kids are very happy with life. They’re happy with love, and that love that they’re happy with is love that they try to give others,” he says. “I hope that that stays true and I hope they stay consistent.”
