Beyoncé has set her sights on her next success — and it’s another chapter of Renaissance!

The “Break My Soul” singer announced that “act ii” of her 2022 album will drop on March 29. In an Instagram clip that showed Bey driving through the desert, she gave fans a glimpse into her new — country! — sound. A song, which could be titled “Texas Hold ‘Em,” played with lyrics “This ain’t Texas, ain’t no hold’em, so lay your cards down, down, down, down.”

It all came after Beyoncé teased her list of “firsts” intending to break the Internet in a Verizon Wireless commercial.

Some of the moments included cheeky peeks at Bey in space, a “Let’s Get Saxy” soul album under the name yoncéB, and Beyoncé’s own version of Barbie…or BarBey. Part of the clip saw the musician tease new music and a “surprise drop” as the commercial wrapped.

Beyoncé’s announcement came off a big year for the superstar. In 2023, the 42-year-old toured her Renaissance album globally from May through October. The tour was released on film — with behind-the-scenes content — in Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé on Dec. 1.

“I practically slept in the edit, color, and mix sessions,” Beyoncé said in an Instagram post as the film was released. “The race against time continued in order to get this film out so quickly. But it was so worth all the grind. I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from my Hive.”

Beyoncé arrived midway through the second quarter of Sunday night’s championship game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. Cheers erupted as the musician made her way into the stadium via golf cart.

Earlier in the evening, Beyoncé’s family members — husband JAY-Z and daughters Blue Ivy, 12, and Rumi, 6 — stepped onto the field ahead of the game. The musical duo shares another child, Rumi’s twin, Sir.

Beyoncé’s arrival came before Usher’s halftime show. The musicians have previously collaborated on the song “Love in This Club Part II” and shared the stage for a duo rendition of Usher’s “Bad Girl” as early as 2004. Though the pair have shared the stage in past years, Beyoncé did not join a list of surprise guests — including Alicia Keys, HER, Ludacris, Will I Am and Lil Jon.

Other celebrities in attendance on Sunday night included Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, Blake Lively, Paul McCartney, Bad Bunny, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Lana Del Rey and more.

Super Bowl night was the Carter family’s second public outing of the month after Beyoncé, JAY-Z and Blue attended the 2024 Grammy Awards together on Feb. 4. JAY-Z was honored with the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award and used the opportunity to speak on Beyoncé’s lack of album of the year wins.

“But, you know, some things — I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year,” JAY-Z said, while daughter Blue stood beside him on stage. “So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that. The most Grammys, never won album of the year. That doesn’t work.”

He added, “You know, some of you gonna go home tonight and feel like you’ve been robbed. Some of you may get robbed. Some of you don’t belong in a category. No, when I get nervous I tell the truth.”
