Simon Jordan labels Anthony Joshua a ‘NATIONAL TREASURE’ for doing to Ngannou what Fury couldn’t! 👏🥊

Simon Jordan has branded Spencer Oliver a ‘sycophant bum kisser’ for his latest glowing praise of Anthony Joshua.

The esteemed radio presenter was in top form as he playfully butted heads with his talkSPORT colleague while they dissected Joshua’s scintillating stoppage win over Francis Ngannou on the White & Jordan show on Thursday.

During an impassioned speech, Oliver insisted Joshua had saved the sport of boxing by dispatching the Cameroonian MMA star inside two rounds on Friday night.

He even claimed the former two-time world heavyweight world champion could beat any other boxer in the glamour division right now in his current vein of form.

However, Jordan wasn’t having any of it.

“He saved our sport. Not for the first time,” said Oliver before Jordan interrupted by calling him a ‘sycophant bum kisser’.

“You make me die,” added Jordan as Oliver continued his AJ spiel.

“I’ve always said Anthony Joshua will go down in the history books, he will become a three-time world heavyweight champion – that looks very likely now,” said Oliver.

“I have always said that, stood by that. You look where Anthony Joshua is placed in the heavyweights right now.

“You would put him in against any of them right now on that performance with that newfound confidence.”

Jordan then interrupted again: “Oh shut up Spencer, he fought an MMA fighter. He did what someone else should have done to an MMA fighter [Fury].

“I think it was a ridiculous performance from Tyson Fury. You have already accepted the principle that Tyson Fury will bear no resemblance to the fighter who fought Ngannou when he faces Usyk.

“Joshua will likely win a third world title because he’s likely to fight Filip Hrgovic [for the IBF title] who I pick him to beat.

“So he will get the ultimate outcomes as a result of it and he did his job that others should have done, which is to regain the credibility and composure of the conversation by winning against Ngannou and doing it convincingly. That’s it, that’s all.”

Although Jordan wasn’t quite on the same page as Oliver when it came to Joshua’s standing in the heavyweight division he did admit that the Watford powerhouse has regained his ‘national treasure’ status.

“When Anthony Joshua goes in against the elite heavyweights we will see if the circle is completed,” Jordan concluded.

“I hope it is because I think what he did on the weekend regained credibility for himself and the sport.

“But I’m not going to run off down the road waving a banner telling everybody that ultimately everything is right in the garden.

“I’ve said he’s a national treasure because I think it’s a fair observation given what Fury put out. Fury made it a farce.”
