Mary J. Blige performed at the 2023 God’s Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards on Monday in New York City wearing a white fuzzy coat with tiers of textured material from the Michael Kors Collection’s fall 2023 ready-to-wear line. The brand was the official partner of the event.

“Classic menswear-style tailoring, sweeping coats, knit dressing, the clash of sleek and raw, chocolate brown as the new black.…This is a Michael Kors season,” WWD reported on the collection in February.

Blige paired her Michael Kors look with leather thigh-high Christian Louboutin boots. When it comes to her looks, she usually enlists the help of two stylists, No IG Jeremy and Maurícía Henry.

Blige last performed amongst Method Man, Diddy and other legendary hip-hop artists at Hot 97’s Hip Hop 50 Forever pre-concert in September. For that performance, she went black in a long-sleeve catsuit with skeleton-inspired adornments and cutouts. The songstress also presented Diddy with the Global Icon Award at the 2023 MTV VMAs that same month, wearing a black shimmering asymmetric Albina Dyla dress with a feather hem.

The 2023 God’s Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards honored Scarlett Johansson and Ben Platt for their philanthropic work in cancer, hunger, inclusion and AIDS awareness. Along with Blige, Tony-award-winning singer J. Harrison Ghee performed. God’s Love We Deliver is a charitable organization that provides home-delivered, nutritious meals to sick people.
