Kate Middleton and Prince William shared a rare public display of affection today while enjoying a romantic walk at Howth Cliff.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently on day two of their first official royal tour of Ireland. Since touching down in Dublin, the parents of three have done everything from meet President Michael D. Higgins of Ireland’s Bernese mountain dog to sip Guinnesses while hobnobbing with the country’s foremost creatives. Today, the Cambridges talked mental health at Jigsaw, the national center for mental support for young people, taught a cooking class at the Savannah House and got in a game of table tennis. They even stopped by Teagasc Research Farm in County Meath to help promote sustainability. But, as the saying goes, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

So, amidst all the chaos of their jam-packed schedule, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took a moment to themselves and strolled along a pastoral cliff with views of the Irish Sea in Dublin.

The couple visited the popular tourist spot, which attracts thousands of visitors annually, and even walked arm-in-arm. Although this may seem like a normal thing for a married couple to do, members of the royal family generally avoid public displays of affection at the request of Her Majesty the queen. Why? Well, they’re technically at work and lovey-dovey behavior isn’t exactly professional. However, an arm grab here and there is definitely OK in our book.

Interestingly, the 38-year-old duchess and 37-year-old duke also showed a little PDA at a royal engagement last night. Is this a sign that the no-PDA policy is changing?
