Kate Middleton and Prince William headed up to Scotland for a day of mountain biking, farming and outdoor adventuring — all with the effect of improving mental well-being.

The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay — as the Prince and Princess of Wales are known while in Scotland! — made their first joint appearance on Thursday in several weeks. They scaled back their royal duties recently to spend time with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis during their kids’ half-term from school.

Matching in green jackets, William and Kate made the most of their busy day — and starred in some stellar photos!

Prince William and Princess Kate started their day at Outfit Moray, an award-winning charity delivering life-changing outdoor learning and adventure activity programs to young people.

Princess Kate snapped into mom mode to comfort a boy who had fallen off his bike, telling him he was “so brave” and encouraging him to “give it another go.”

For their last stop of the day, the royal couple headed to DAY1, a Highland-based charity in Inverness, which provides mentoring, training, personal development and employability services to vulnerable young people.
