Madonna SLAMMED by fans for being THREE HOURS late to stage on first US show of world tour: ‘F***ing rude’

Madonna was slammed by her fans for being hours late starting her Celebration tour concert in New York City on Wednesday.

The 65-year-old singer was supposed to begin the U.S. leg of her tour at the Barclays Center at around 8:30 p.m. but did not hit the stage for her sold-out show until about 11 p.m.

Despite the delay, she put on a very raunchy show and amazed her fans while performing her 45-song setlist highlighting her record-breaking 40-year career.

Later, it was explained that the delay was due to technical issues and had been pushed by only one hour as the opening act, DJ Honey Dijon, took the stage at 8:30 p.m.

The Queen of Pop eventually took the stage and began her show at 10:45 p.m.

However, many of the music icon’s fans took to social media to gripe about waiting for the Material Girl hitmaker to begin her show.

One X user tweeted: ‘I don’t give a f*** if you’re Madonna, if you’re 3 hours late,  you’re just f***ing rude.’

‘Concert supposed to start at 8:30. Madonna started at 11pm. Whole arena chanting bulls*** at her lateness. Great show but went way too late,’ another person wrote, adding that DJ Honey Dijon opened the show with ‘boring house music’.

‘2:30 hours late. I WANT A REFUND NOW,’ another X user demanded.

‘I love Madonna but it’s really f***ed up how she’s literally like 2 hours late for her FIRST show in the us,’ another tweeted,

A source told People that Madonna powered through ‘issues during soundcheck that caused the schedule to get delayed by an hour’ for her 14,000 fans and concertgoers.

Even though doors still opened as scheduled at 7:30 p.m. for fans to enter the concert venue, the songstress was still ‘sound-checking until the moment they did to work out the issues’.

She then took the stage just one hour late, the insider emphasized.

At one point during the concert, she reportedly was struggling with sound issues while speaking onstage and had told fans she was hearing an ‘echo’ in her ear.

However, her performance received such rave reviews that many fans said it was well worth the wait.

‘She was AMAZING tonight—late but made up for it,’ one concertgoer tweeted.

‘Madonna showed UP at Barclays tonight,’ another wrote. ‘Late as f*** but she did the thing.’

Earlier this year, she kicked off the European leg of her tour in London on October and returned to the city to wrap on December 6.

She will perform two more shows at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on December 14 and 16 before heading to Washington D.C.

She will be touring across the states up until April 15 before taking a short break and heading over to Mexico for five more shows.
