50 CENT BLAMES JA RULE FOR NEW YORK KNICKS’ PLAYOFF LOSS: ‘YA DON’T LISTEN!’

50 Cent has pointed the finger at Ja Rule for the New York Knicks’ recent playoff loss.

The G-Unit mogul took to Instagram on Saturday (May 11) to blame his longtime rival after the Knicks lost game three of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Indiana Pacers by a score of 111-106.

50 posted a screenshot of him rubbing his eyes and wrote: “Man I told yall don’t bet on the knicks this janky ass [ninja] was holding a trophy, the shit just didn’t feel right now look. [raised eyebrow emoji] I told yall stay away from that fool smh ya don’t listen!”

50 Cent was referencing a video from earlier this week where Ja Rule was seen lifting the Larry O’Brien trophy, the prize awarded to the NBA champions each year.

“Champions only, 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢. Let’s go Knicks!” he said in the clip while planting a kiss on the coveted trophy.

The video was met with dismay from Knicks fans, who accused Ja of “cursing” the long-suffering team who haven’t won an NBA championship since 1973, but have enjoyed a successful run in this year’s playoffs having previously beaten the Philadelphia 76ers.

“Smh n-gga done cursed us wtf!” one person wrote on social media, while another said: “Why the fuck did the knicks allow this.”

A third user referenced the Knicks’ mounting injuries during game two of their series against the Pacers: “This n-gga holds the chip and brunson and anoby [sic] get injured someone call fif to get the strap.”

Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long for Fif to jump on the bandwagon.

“Oh shit don’t bet on the Knicks to win this next game,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) while reacting to Ja lifting the Larry O’Brien trophy. “This janky ass [ninja emoji] put his juju all on the team. Fuck that I’m bet my money on the wolves! LOL.”

Ja Rule is no stranger to NBA curses. In 2019, he said he was placing a curse on both the Minnesota Timberwolves and Sacramento Kings after a disastrous halftime performance was widely mocked by fans.

“You just jinx yourself talking to the GOD this way… your CURSED NOW!!!” he wrote on X (then Twitter) in response to one critic. “You won’t win a championship for the next 30 years… AND KAT IS LEAVING!!! Apologise and I’ll lift the CURSE!!! Kiss of death.”

After the Kings’ social media admin joked: “Where is Ja?,” the rapper directed his powers at that team as well: “Shout out to the base God… @LILBTHEBASEDGOD I’ve channeled my curse powers from him… @SacramentoKings WILL NEVER WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP EVER.”
