According to Time magazine , the exhibition features a stirring portrait of Kate Middleton, taken by Paolo Roversi and originally announced ahead of her 40th birthday in 2022.
The black and white monochrome photo shows the side profile of Princess Kate Middleton in an off-the-shoulder white dress by Alexander McQueen.
Accessories were minimal with pearl earrings and a blue sapphire engagement ring set with diamonds, which had previously belonged to Princess Diana.
Princess Kate posed in the royal family’s favorite pose, sitting silently and looking into the distance.
When the photo was first published in 2022, along with two other photos celebrating the princess’s birthday, it became part of the collection of London’s National Portrait Gallery.
The black-and-white portrait of Kate Middleton is often compared to a painting painted more than 150 years ago of Queen Alexandra of Denmark.
The painting, painted by Franz Xaver Winterhalter, shows Queen Alexandra in a flowing white dress with dark blue trim.
Wearing a wreath on her head, the Queen stands but turns slightly to the side.
