‘The Boys’ Spinoff ‘Gen V’ Season 2 Starts Shooting in Toronto – Get Ready.

‘The Boys’ spinoff ‘Gen V’ Season 2 has begun filming in Toronto.

Production on the highly anticipated second season of Gen V, a spin-off of the smash-hit series The Boys, has commenced in Toronto, Canada.

Fans wanting to return to Vought’s harsh universe and explore the dark underbelly of superhero creation will be relieved to hear this news.

Gen V takes viewers inside the walls of Godolkin University, a prestigious academy where the next generation of supes are trained.

Unlike the squeaky-clean image Vought portrays, the series delves into the dark side of hero-making, exposing the cutthroat competition and questionable methods used to cultivate the perfect superhero.

Season one of Gen V premiered on Prime Video in September last year, leaving fans hanging for more.

Thankfully, with cameras rolling again in Toronto, fresh content exploring the lives of these supe hopefuls is on the horizon.

While the tragic passing of cast member Chance Perdomo in March 2024 undoubtedly cast a shadow over production, the show must go on.

Actress Lizzie Broadway, who portrayed Emma Meyer in the series, went on Instagram Stories to share an image from the set of the series.

“As we continue to navigate the tragic loss of Chance Perdomo, everyone at Gen V is determined to find the best way to pay respect to his memory,” a statement published to social media read.

“We won’t be recasting the role, because no one can replace Chance. Instead, we have been taking the time and space to recraft our aeason 2 storylines as we begin production in May.”

“We will honor Chance and his legacy this season,” the release said.

How the series addresses Perdomo’s character remains to be seen (NO), but fans can expect returning cast members like Jaz Sinclair, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Sean Patrick Thomas to reprise their roles.
