North West’s Lion King performance faces harsh criticism online. The Online trolls have since lashed out at the 10-year-old’s nepo-𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 advantage.

North West made her acting debut as Young Simba during The Lion King’s 30th Anniversary concert on Friday – but online trolls have since lashed out at the 10-year-old’s nepo-𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 advantage.

The eldest child of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West – who were also in attendance at the concert – took to the stage at The Hollywood Bowl to perform I Just Can’t Wait To Be King.

After belting out lyrics at the crowded venue, North received a standing ovation from the audience.

However, some social media users on X (formerly known as Twitter) shared their thoughts on Kim and Kanye’s daughter snagging a coveted role in the musical concert.

One noted: ‘Nepotism is literally the best thing to be born with,’ while another added, ‘the worst case of nepo I have been witnessed.’

One typed out on the platform, ‘nepotism is literally the best thing to be born with,’ while another added, ‘the worst case of nepo I have been witnessed’

Another penned, ‘Nepotism and the synonym next to it is KARDASHIANS,’ followed by laughing face emojis.

‘Nepotism is so crazy lol,’ one wrote. ‘Someone else’s more talented, probably voice and dance trained kid didn’t get it because his/her family isn’t famous enough.’

One social media user penned, ‘She looks great and it seems like she’s having a lot of fun, but I’m definitely not gonna bypass the fact that we all know she wouldn’t be there if it wasn’t who her parents were. This is classism at its finest!’

Another chimed: ‘Aw man…I feel bad for the kids there that are actually talented who could’ve nailed this.’

‘I’m sure her mom’s influence (or money) is the only reason she got this leading/singing role.’

One also shared, ‘I don’t like that fact that she got this solely based on her mom or dad.’

‘There’s a kid out there with real talent that should’ve been given this opportunity. And no I’m not a hater I actually like the “Kardashians.”‘

It’s unclear if North went through a standard audition process. DailyMail.com has reached out to a Kardashian spokesperson for comment.

Earlier this month, it was announced that North was cast in the live-to-film concert event which ran for two nights on May 24 and May 25. The Hollywood Bowl can notably hold up to 17,500 people and tickets for the concert began at $60.

The proud mom posted snaps of their all-access passes on lanyards, along with some character-inspired cupcakes.

She also thanked Kris and grandmother Mary Jo ‘MJ’ Campbell for sending flowers, sharing video of the orange arrangements.

North earned a standing ovation as she took the stage to perform I Just Can’t Wait to Be King from the 1994 Walt Disney animated movie.

The Elementary School Dropout artist donned a much more casual version of the usual Broadway costumes, sporting a yellow hoodie and matching shorts with a fuzzy hood and slippers.

North’s acting debut came after she announced her first album Elementary School Dropout in March, a nod to her dad’s 2004 debut The College Dropout.

The preteen was also featured on ‘Talking / Once Again’, from Vultures 1, Ye’s collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign.

The track made North one of the youngest artists to ever chart on the Billboard Hot 100, debuting at No. 30 in February.

Although she made her acting debut on Friday night at the Hollywood Bowl, North is no stranger to the stage, thanks to her collaborations with her father.

The rising musical artist – as well as her siblings Chicago, six, and Psalm, five – also joined their father onstage at the Rolling Loud Festival in California this March.

North opened up about her love of singing on the cover of i-D last October, explaining that ‘performing is my favorite,’ and the passion comes ‘mostly from me… and then a little bit of my dad.’
