Angel Reese catches WNBA fans’ WRATH for deleted TWEET taking alleged potshots at Caitlin Clark. Now That 1.8 GPA Showing! Full .šŸ˜±šŸ‘‡

Angel Reese catches WNBA fansā€™ wrath for deleted tweet taking alleged potshots at Caitlin Clark

Angel Reese during a recent WNBA game.

Angel Reese appeared to shadeĀ Caitlin ClarkĀ and the Indiana Fever in a since-deleted tweet. The WNBA announced its plans to allow all teams to travel to and fro for games on chartered flights. The program was introduced last year, when the league spent $4 million on it for back-to-back games and the postseason.

As the plan featured a slow transformation, chartered flights were initially allotted to Indiana Fever, something that Angel Reese has seemingly referred to multiple times in recent days.

This time around, after her team pulled off a remarkable upset (90-81) against the New York Liberty at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, she allegedly threw shade on Fever and Clark via the following tweet:

ā€œand thatā€™s on getting a WIN in a packed area not just cause of one player on our charter flight. #SKYTOWN,ā€

This did not go down well with several WNBA fans. One fan talked about her college GPA, while another claimed that she should instead be thankful to Caitlin Clark, as it is her presence that has resulted in increased attention for the WNBA.

Others talked about how they look forward to June 1st when Reese will face Clarkā€™s team.

ā€œThat 1.8 gpa is showing lol,ā€Ā one fan wrote.

One fan claimed that Reese was simplyĀ obsessed with Caitlin.

ā€œWhy is she so obsessed with Clark? I havenā€™t seen Clark bring up Reese onceĀ šŸ˜‚ā€

Another claimedĀ Reese should thank Clark for her rise:

ā€œItā€™s truly amazing how much these women hate Clark lol. Reeseā€™s stock rose because of the rivalry, prior to that it was just going to be another WNBA player.ā€

One fan simply could not understand what ReeseĀ was getting at:

ā€œWhat did she say? I read the tweet ten times and I still canā€™t manage to understand what sheā€™s trying to say.ā€

The entire fanbase seemingly was against Angel Reeseā€™s attack on Clark, with one claiming that she should simply beĀ more grateful:

ā€œShe should be more grateful.ā€

Earlier in May, the league introduced chartered flights for all teams, with the WNBA planning to invest $50 million into the program over the next two years.

Angel Reese already took a dig at Chicago Skyā€™s ā€˜chartered flightsā€™

While Caitlin Clarkā€™s Fever has been the first WNBA team to be given chartered flights permanently this season, Reese seems to be running out of patience to come to terms with that. The 22-year-old aired her frustrations on Instagram.

Posting a picture from the team bus, she claimed that she was practicing ā€˜gratitude and patienceā€™ until her team also got to travel in flights:

ā€œJust praying that this is one of the last commercial fligts the Chicago Sky has to fly ā€¦ Practicing gratitude & patience as the league introduces charter flights for all teams,ā€ she wrote.

Reese enters the WNBA alongside other highly ranked young players, including Kamilla Cardoso, Cameron Brink, and, of course, Caitlin Clark. While Cardoso has yet to make her debut due to a shoulder ailment, the others appear to have gotten off to a fast start in the competition.

With her recent performance against the New York Liberty, Angel Reese became the 13th WNBA rookie ever to record at least 35 points and 25 rebounds in her first three games.

While she might have her frustrations off the court, her WNBA journey seems to have started on the right foot. With Cardoso also set to return by the beginning of June, things are certainly looking up for the Sky.

On Monday night, the Indiana Fever hosted the Connecticut Sun for their fourth WNBA regular season game of 2024.

2024 WNBA draft first overall pickĀ Caitlin ClarkĀ is still looking for her first official WNBA win as she has lost her first three professional games.

Late in the fourth quarter with 3:37 left in the game and the Fever up by one, Caitlin Clark picked up her first WNBA technical foul.

This happened when Clark turned the ball over and gave up a frustration foul when chasing the opponent down. She then started yapping at the official, leading to an immediate technical.

A video of the technical foul was posted to social media by TSN.

ā€œCaitlin Clark picks up a technical foul late in the 4th quarter.ā€

Fans expressed their opinions on the foul online.

ā€œThe fact that THAT is a technical on Caitlin Clark is insaneā€

ā€œCaitlin Clark just got a technical foul, and Iā€™m only shocked cause she complains a LOT and has never been Tā€™d (that Iā€™ve seen anyway).ā€

ā€œBad sequence for Caitlin Clark: ā€“ Turnover ā€“ Transition foul ā€“ Technical foul (f-bomb to the ref) Yikes!!ā€

ā€œMan these refs donā€™t like Caitlin Clark! A technical foul called for nothing ā€¦ Smhā€

ā€œA transition foul & a well deserved technical foul on Caitlin Clark.ā€

Only three games into herĀ WNBAĀ career,Ā IndianaĀ Fever star Caitlin Clark is embracing the mentality of a rookie.

Clark has had to make serious adjustment from her college days at the University ofĀ IowaĀ to now when sheā€™s expected to be the savior of an Indiana franchise that has many problems that need fixing.

She isnā€™t (and shouldnā€™t be) expected to solve all of them, but fans turn out regardless and Clark is a draw for WNBA franchises all over the country.

But speaking toĀ the Today Showā€™s Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, Clark says that sheā€™s staying grounded and embracing that role of first-timer.

ā€˜It feels good. I mean, I think just the excitement and the energy around this league, around our team,ā€™ she said.

Indianaā€™s Caitlin Clark says she doesnā€™t want to lose the fun of being a newcomer in the WNBA

Clark has heavy expectations on her as fans of the Fever hope she will be a savior for their team

But thereā€™s still an adjustment period, as Clark has had to get used to pro basketball defense

ā€˜But at the same time, I think just learning day by day. Thatā€™s going to be the biggest thing for myself.ā€™

Clark continued, ā€˜And I think continuing to stack days, whether you learn one little thing or you learn a lot, I think continuing to improve is going to be the biggest part of it for myself. But also, donā€™t lose the fun of it.ā€™

She also has to get used to the lack of success she experienced at Iowa ā€“ where she reached back-to-back national title games.

Her first three games have resulted in three straight losses ā€“ one to the Connecticut Sun and two to the New York Liberty, all losses by double-digits.

Clark dropped 20 points in her debut, regressed to 9 points the next game, and then shot back up to 22 points in her best performance yet.

But sheā€™s also been turning the ball over a lot more as she adjusts to the physicality and quickness of defense at the pro level.

Clark will look to get her first win of her WNBA career against the Sun once again, but this time the game will be at home at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
