Wilder Blows It: Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois Set for Monumental Wembley Clash in September.

The bout will break the record attendance held by former WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

ANTHONY JOSHUA has a September clash with Daniel Dubois scheduled, which should break Wembley’s record.

Tyson Fury packed the football stadium with 94,000 supporters when he defeated Dillian Whyte under the arches in 2022.

Anthony Joshua will be back in action in September.

AJ will throw down with Daniel Dubois in a blockbuster Wembley.

Dubois became interim IBF heavyweight champion with a huge stoppage win over Filip Hrgovic.

AJ was ringside to witness Dubois defeat the Croatian clubber.

Saudi boxing kingmaker Turki Alalshikh aimed to stage AJ vs. Deontay Wilder at the renowned London arena this summer.

However, the 37-year-old American has already lost two fights in Riyadh and appears to be on the verge of retirement after failing to win the fantasy shootout twice in six months.

So 26-year-old Dubois, who first emerged on the scene with stories of flooring Joshua when they sparred at Team GB’s Sheffield base when he was a youngster, has jumped to the front of the line.

This comes after defeating drug cheat Jarrell Miller in December and stopping Filip Hrgovic in a violent fight on Saturday night.

We understand Alalshikh will contact London Mayor Sadiq Khan with a plan to break the attendance record by combining the all-British boxing extravaganza with a music festival vibe and two children’s play areas.

Dubois, who has overcome losses against Joe Joyce and Oleksandr Usyk, aims to make the tournament more X-rated.

“It’s a dream,” he said about the mouthwatering all-London brawl.

“Especially after having to come back from defeats and challenging for a world title.

Daniel Dubois knocked out Jarrell Miller last December.

Anthony Joshua blitzed former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in March.

“I now have a chance to win the damn thing outright and that’s what I want.

“I will demolish AJ, from here I can only get even better.

Joshua, 35, was ringside for the show so would have seen Dubois’ breakout performance and Wilder’s limp swansong.

The two-time world champion refused any media requests – apart from a doomed rallying war cry for Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom stable that was smashed 5-0 in fights and 10-0 on points by Dubois’ Frank Warren squad.

So it was left to Dynamite Dubois to ignite the excitement for the Joshua clash, that will pit two 6ft 6in Adonis against each other in a collision of 35st of muscle.

“There is no retreat from me anymore,” he said.

“Bring Joshua on, I am excited, I am up for it, let’s go.”

The victor of Joshua vs Dubois will be in contention to face the winner of Fury’s rematch with Usyk.

On December 21, the two will resume their battle for the heavyweight title.

A Fury victory, on the other hand, will very certainly set up a trilogy bout, leaving the winner of AJ versus Dubois in need of a tune-up battle to keep their momentum going.
