Deontay Wilder’s legs came under the scrutiny of social media users following his defeat to the dominant Joseph Parker at the Day of Reckoning event in Riyadh.

Before losing to a powerful Joseph Parker on the Day of Reckoning card, Deontay Wilder’s legs are compared to “McDonald’s straws” in a vicious joke.

Deontay Wilder‘s legs came under the scrutiny of social media users following his defeat to the dominant Joseph Parker at the Day of Reckoning event in Riyadh.

Parker dominated every round, and won the battle unanimously, seriously halting plans for the American to take on Anthony Joshua in a mega-money fight.

Fans took to X (fka Twitter) to comment on Wilder’s legs, and question how the thin limbs were able to support the efforts of a high-level boxer.

Among many comments on the matter, one succinctly wrote: ‘Deontay Wilders legs look even skinnier than normal’.

Anothertook to the social media platform to write: ‘Wilder’s legs are like 2 McDonald’s straws’, while a third insisted that the limbs must be ‘fake’.

Whilst the television is famously claimed to add ten pounds, one X user noted: ‘They say the TV puts weight on you. Imagine how thin Wilders legs must really be…’

And someone else analysed the situation, writing: ‘If you saw this physique you would automatically assume zero power…could barely hold his own bodyweight up.

‘Wilder is and always has been a terrible boxer in the same way [Francis] Ngannou has terrible striking. Both have supreme godly power. Wilder defies logic with this body though.’

Wilder was expected to angle for a big-money bout against Anthony Joshua, who is one of the headline fighters at the Day of Reckoning, but the nature of the defeat means that plans will have to be reformulated.

Wilder had reportedly agreed a two-fight deal with AJ, but in the wake of the Parker defeat, he admitted that he could hang up his gloves and retire from the sport.
