Priyanka Chopra has defended herself after she shared multiple snaps and details of her 2018 wedding to Nick Jonas with her fans.
The couple had a magazine deal for their lavish three day celebrations across three days in Rajasthan, India while they both uploaded Insta snaps and stories to allow their fans into their big day.
After attracting criticism from some for ‘oversharing’, Priyanka, 36, has told the Sunday Times: ‘If I wasn’t a famous person and I’d just got married, don’t you think my Insta would have photos of me and my husband?’

Talking about the backlash she continued, ‘Just because I’m famous, don’t I have the ability to be proud of being a newlywed without people saying that I’m using my marriage?’
‘I gave up my right to privacy when I became a public person, it’s the deal you make with the devil. But trust me, there are lots of things I still keep personal.’
The two were engaged in August 2018 and were married in December 2018 in traditional Hindu and Christian ceremonies.

Nick first reached out to Priyanka in 2016 to suggest they go on a date, it wasn’t until May 25, 2018 that the couple finally hit it off in person.
‘One year ago today I went to go see Beauty and the Beast at the Hollywood Bowl with a group of friends,’ Nick began in the caption of a romantic Instagram photo of the pair at the Cannes Film Festival last month.
‘One of those friends was the woman that would become my best friend, my confidant, my muse, my beautiful wife.

‘I am so grateful for our journey together so far. You make me smile every day and you inspire me to be the best version of myself. I am honoured to be your husband. I love you.’
Not long after, Priyanka responded in the comments, writing, ‘The most amazing thing that ever happened to me is you. I love you babs…’
Nick proposed to the actress on July 18 2018, less than two months after they began dating and they were married December 1 at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India.
