When Ranbir Kapoor called Deepika Padukone ‘cheap’: ‘You can talk naughty with her and…’

Both Ranbir and Deepika could be seen in a jovial mood when the actor made this revelation during the promotions of ‘Tamasha’ back in 2015.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone clearly had a blast promoting their 2015 film Tamasha. And while speaking to Zoom, Kapoor made an amusing revelation that has suddenly gone viral on social media. He called Padukone ‘cheap’ and gave a reason for it.

He said, “Inside Deepika, there’s a big cheap girl residing. You know, you can talk naughty with her and you can get cheeky with her. And, she responds very well, she will respond in an even cheekier way. If you tease her, she won’t let it go.”

The actor added, “She’ll tease you back. She’s not the kind of girl who will sulk if you tease her. She’ll give it back to you. This is something Imtiaz Ali realised during Love Aaj Kal. When he used to talk to her, she was very shy. He used to give her direction and she used to be very timid. Then one day he got an idea to say something cheap to her. Her eyes light up at that time. She is filled with cheapness.”

Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment’s romantic drama ‘  Tamasha  ’, a film that portrayed the essence of love in modern times from a whole new perspective. It gave the viewers another angle to understand life amid love relationships. No doubt it had great music which always instills the feeling of love in us.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone reunited for a coffee commercial on television. In a recently released behind-the-scene image of the ad, the two could be seen comfortably sitting on a couch, while sipping cups of coffee.

Ranbir and Deepika, apart from being colleagues in the Hindi film industry, have also had a romantic past when the two dated each other. Launched together in 2007, the two actors have come a long way from their debuts.

The duo have always maintained an amicable rapport post their split and have done two major films after it — Ayan Mukerji’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in 2013 and Imtiaz Ali’s  Tamasha  in 2015.
