If you can count on Cardi B for one thing, it’s that she’s ready to bring Met Gala energy all 365 days of the year. Case in point: the purple and yellow floral confection she wore to the Marc Jacobs show in New York City on July 1.
The outfit, which is Marc Jacobs of course, included a ludicrously capacious (complimentary) dress made of semi-sheer, lavender and yellow floral ruffles resembling oversized violas. She paired the flouncy frock with textured, bright yellow tights and the brand’s iconic Kiki ankle boot in white, which feature a serious platform and five Mary Jane straps.
The whole look has a certain 1960s-Mod-on-performance-enhancing-drugs feel to it, which Cardi emphasized with a sky-high bouffant updo and square-rimmed sunglasses. She finished the look with an extra-long square mani in a natural pink color. While this was not Cardi’s 2024 Met Gala look (nor even her backup option), it still totally would have stolen the show for this year’s Garden of Time theme.
