Weverse, HYBE’s superfan network, will welcome Ariana Grande later this week on Sunday, July 21. BTS and Blackpink are among the other well-known celebrities who will be joining her.

It happens soon after it was announced that the 31-year-old singer of We Can’t Be Friends will keep working for HYBE America Inc., a division of HYBE Corporation, the entertainment company owned by her former manager, Scooter Braun.

The 31-year-old Ariana Grande, who was last seen in New York City in May, will soon be joining other well-known celebrities like BTS and Blackpink on HYBE’s superfan platform, Weverse, later this week on Sunday, July 21.

The celebrity will be able to “post messages and content to her own dedicated community” and “hold livestreams for members,” according to Billboard.

Additionally, Grande has access to’share vanishing messages, post exclusive media content, read personalized fan letters, and use the well-known Weverse Shop.’

Weverse is a South Korean mobile app and web platform that was formally released back in June 2019. According to the outlet, 146 musicians are now using the platform.

Additionally, the platform receives 10 million monthly users from 245 countries and regions, allowing Ariana to communicate with a global fan base.

“What’s lucky for us has been that K-pop idols are the types of artists that have a very strong core fanbase,” Weverse Company president Joon Choi said to Billboard.

We had already benefited from the competitive edge or advantage of being there first and early to see what superfans genuinely wanted as a platform and as a business.

In addition to improving fan connections with musicians, the app provides a streaming platform for live music events and organizes the Weverse Con Festival.

In terms of Ariana joining the Weverse universe, Joon Choi stated, ‘Weverse is obviously a separate platform, different from other social media platforms, therefore I’m also quite intrigued how it will be utilized by artists like Ariana Grande.’

‘It truly depends on each artist or label if they discuss how they want to or intend to use Weverse. But in this case, we don’t know yet – that’s something I’m closely monitoring…’

Grande closed her Twitter account (now known as X) in 2021, but Choi explained that Weverse is not a social media platform.’It is a gathering spot for fans of the artist.’

‘This isn’t our claim – artists have been saying this particular characteristic makes Weverse a very friendly and safer platform for artists to engage with their fans.’

HYBE Corporation is a South Korean entertainment firm that was created in 2005 and was previously known as Big Hit Entertainment.

Scooter Braun became the sole CEO of HYBE America in 2023, following its inception in 2019.

Ariana will continue to work with Scooter Braun, months after leaving his management.

In December 2023, the Thank U Next hitmaker abruptly ended her relationship with Braun after more than a decade, as the management lost clients such as Carly Rae Jepsen and Demi Lovato.

Grande has a new management arrangement with Good World Management’s Brandon Creed, but will continue to work with Braun’s entertainment platform HYBE.

The celebrity and HYBE released a statement noting that they ‘look forward to continuing their long-standing commercial cooperation and pursuing new potential in Weverse and REM Beauty.’

Justin Bieber, one of Scooter’s most famous artists, was also alleged to have departed him in August.

However, officials for the Sorry singer claimed that he departed Braun last year, noting that they had inked another four-year contract in 2022, while an existing contract did not prevent Ariana from moving on.

In terms of having Ariana join the Weverse realm, Joon Choi said, ‘Weverse is obviously a separate platform, different from other social media platforms, therefore I’m also quite intrigued how it will be employed by artists like Ariana Grande’; pictured in June in NYC.

It was claimed last month in June that Ariana will continue working with her ex manager Scooter Braun – months after she left his management. Braun was pictured in Pasadena in 2020.

Last December, it was claimed that Grande had signed with Creed’s newly founded Good World Management, months after purportedly splitting from Braun, marking a decade since he helped catapult her to popularity with her debut album, Yours Truly.

According to insiders, despite her desire to leave Braun, she remains legally bound to the record executive.

‘Although Ariana has found new music management, she has not severed or broken ties with Scooter because she is contractually obligated,’ they stated.

And earlier last week, the vocalist stated that she was trying to schedule a’mini’ tour between her two Wicked flicks; pictured in April in Las Vegas.

Last week, the singer disclosed plans for a’mini’ tour between her Wicked movie.

The first half will be released this year in November, with the second planned to hit theaters one year later in November 2025.
