‘You learn something new daily’ is a proverb that you’ve probably heard before. Ryan Reynolds recently discovered something quite interesting about Blake Lively, his wife.

Reynolds and Lively wed back in 2012 and have since gone on to welcome four children together – their youngest being a one-year-old son named Olin.

Undeniably the celebrity pair are ultimate relationship goals and are always publicly supporting one another.

For example, Lively recently penned a heartfelt tribute to her husband of 12 years on Instagram ahead of the release of his movie Deadpool & Wolverine, which hit cinemas July 25.

And now, in the wake of Lively’s latest business venture, Reynolds has done the same.

Yesterday (July 31), the Gossip Girl favorite announced the launch of her haircare brand, Blake Brown Beauty.

You’ll have noticed that the brand isn’t under the actress’ usual moniker of Lively which has left some people confused – her husband included.

Taking to Instagram to gush about Lively’s new project, Reynolds wrote to his Story: “I’m obscenely proud of this woman. She’s been working on @blakebrownbeauty for 7 years. And the result is exactly what you’d expect of a hyper-obsessive, detail addicted, uncompromisingly quality control genius.”

Noting the name of her brand, Reynolds went on to quip: “Also, I’ve just found out that her last name is Brown.”

Ok, so Lively’s real name isn’t actually Brown – but it technically should have been.

Lively’s parents, Ernie and Elaine Lively, wed in 1979 and when they did, Ernie took Elaine’s surname and replaced it with his former moniker of Brown.

Ernie sadly passed away in 2021 at the age of 74 of cardiac complications.

Following Reynolds’ remarks about only just learning Lively’s ‘real name’, she’s explained it to her 45 million Instagram followers.

“Brown is my dad’s last name,” she penned. “He took Lively from my mom & older siblings.”

Suggesting that the Deadpool star should follow suit, Lively added: “Now that I think about it, Ryan Lively has a nice ring to it.”

Blake Brown Beauty isn’t the actress’ first business venture; she launched her soft drinks brand Betty Buzz in 2021 and two years later released a line of canned cocktails named Betty Booze.

Reynolds is also quite the business mogul and owns a handful of companies.

Some of these include Aviation American Gin, Maximum Effort production company, and Welsh soccer team Wrexham AFC.

It’s thought that the A-list pair have a combined net worth of around $400 million.
