Chace Crawford’s Jaw-Dropping Request: Wants His The Boys Character to Meet a Gruesome End by ‘Drowning’!

“A dream death pitch? Drowning somehow. It’d be really odd. I don’t know… Drowns in a bowl of soup.”

Chace Crawford, who has played the tormented and often darkly humorous character The Deep on The Boys since its start, recently discussed how he sees his character’s end in the show’s forthcoming fifth and final season.

Crawford, whose character is known for his fondness for aquatic locales and weird story arcs, proposed that an ironic death by drowning would be the perfect, although “odd,” way for The Deep to die.

In a series of interviews, Crawford humorously elaborated on this idea, suggesting that The Deep could meet his end by drowning in something as mundane and absurd as a bowl of soup.

“A dream death pitch? Drowning somehow. It’d be really odd. I don’t know… Drowns in a bowl of soup. I just hope I live,” Crawford told TV Guide.

The idea of The Deep—a character who has gills and an innate connection with water—dying by drowning is both ironic and fitting for the darkly satirical tone of The Boys.

Crawford’s character, The Deep, has been through a tumultuous journey over the past four seasons. From being a disgraced member of The Seven to undergoing bizarre and humiliating experiences, The Deep’s story has been one of redemption mixed with dark comedy.

Fans of the show are eagerly anticipating how the final season will wrap up the various storylines, particularly with Homelander now in control and several characters poised for a dramatic exit.

The show’s creator, Eric Kripke, has teased that no character is safe, and the final season will feature plenty of shocking moments that fans have come to expect from the series.

Whether or not The Deep’s drowning death will become a reality remains to be seen, but it certainly fits the tone of a show that thrives on the unexpected.

With the final season set to premiere in 2026, fans won’t have to wait too long to see how it all ends
