Anthony Joshua’s UNEXPECTED Plan for His Son: Ditching Boxing for the World of Accounting!

According to Nigerian-born boxer Anthony Joshua, he would prefer his son to become an Accountant.

Anthony Joshua, a British heavyweight boxer of Nigerian heritage, states that his kid would not make a “wise decision” to pursue a career in boxing.

Although he added that he wanted his son Joseph Joshua, also known as JJ, to forge his own path in life, the two-time former unified world heavyweight champion stated on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs that he would much rather if his son followed in his footsteps and became an accountant.

Joshua also discussed with host Lauren Laverne how he became homeless at the age of 17 and how he got into conflict with the law for fighting when he was a youngster living in Watford.

He has previously stated that he wanted his kid to be the “best man that he can be” and did not see himself living that kind of life for his “little JJ”.

According to Nigerian-born boxer Anthony Joshua, he would prefer his son to become an Accountant.

Joshua stated that his opinions regarding his son’s destiny remained unchanged in an interview with Desert Island Discs via the BBC.

When looking back on his boxing career, Anthony Joshua claimed he discovered the sport just when he needed it.

According to Nigerian-born boxer Anthony Joshua, he would prefer his son to become an Accountant.

When Joshua’s cousin encouraged him to take up boxing at the age of 18, he stated it helped him to channel his energy and he entered the ring for the first time.

Joshua rose to fame five years later after winning gold at the London 2012 Olympics.

The 34-year-old claims that boxing gave him help, and as a result, he wants to assist others.

Joshua made the decision to become a professional a year later. In April 2017, at the age of 27, he had his breakthrough encounter with Ukrainian fighter Wladimir Klitschko.

Amidst a boisterous 90,000 spectators at Wembley Stadium, AJ, as he is affectionately called by his supporters, decisively defeated the 41-year-old former world champion in the eleventh round of one of the most demanding yet captivating heavyweight fights.

Anthony Joshua, a boxer from Nigeria, stated that he would rather see his son pursue a career in accounting.

With twenty-two professional fights won, twenty-one of them by knockout, AJ was the most successful knockout artist of his era.

The boxer’s career peaked in 2022 when he lost to Oleksandr Usyk of Ukraine for the unified WBO, WBA, and IBF heavyweight titles in Saudi Arabia.

Joshua is anticipated to make his ring comeback in September at Wembley Stadium against Daniel Dubois.
