Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” dominates the Hot Rap Songs chart, tying Drake’s record for the longest No. 1 streak.

Kendrick Lamar Dominates Hot Rap Songs Chart with “Not Like Us,” Ties Drake for Longest No. 1 Streak

Kendrick Lamar continues to solidify his position as a hip-hop powerhouse, leading the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart once again this week with his massive hit, “Not Like Us.” The track has now spent an impressive 18 weeks at No. 1, marking one of the longest reigns in the chart’s history and placing Lamar in a tie with several other rap icons, including his longtime rival, Drake.

“Not Like Us” has now dominated the Hot Rap Songs chart for 18 weeks, a milestone that few tracks have achieved. This remarkable feat ties Lamar with four other rap anthems that previously topped the chart for the same duration: Missy Elliott’s “Hot Boyz,” Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop,” Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” and Drake’s “Hotline Bling.”

The fact that Lamar has tied with Drake during a period of heightened tension between the two rappers adds another layer of intrigue to the story. “Not Like Us” is widely regarded as a diss track aimed at Drake, with pointed lyrical jabs directed at the Canadian superstar. Now, both artists share the distinction of having one of the longest-running No. 1 hits in rap history.

The rivalry between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has been brewing for years, and “Not Like Us” is seen by many as the latest escalation in their ongoing feud. With 18 weeks at No. 1, Lamar’s diss track has matched Drake’s own record, adding fuel to the fire. Fans have been closely watching the chart performance, as Lamar inches closer to breaking the all-time record for most weeks at No. 1 on the Hot Rap Songs chart.

Only two tracks have spent more time at the top of the Hot Rap Songs chart than “Not Like Us.” Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road” still holds the record with 20 weeks at No. 1, while Lil Nas X’s “Industry Baby,” featuring Jack Harlow, follows closely with 19 weeks at the summit. With “Not Like Us” showing no signs of slowing down, Lamar is poised to challenge both of these milestones in the coming weeks.

“Not Like Us” has now spent 19 weeks on the chart, with all but one of those weeks in the No. 1 spot. Given the track’s momentum, it seems likely that Lamar could tie or even surpass Lil Nas X’s record, cementing his place in rap history.

As “Not Like Us” continues to dominate, Lamar’s chart success serves as a reminder of his lasting influence in the world of Hip-Hop. The feud with Drake, combined with his potential to set a new record on the Hot Rap Songs chart, has fans and critics alike watching closely. Whether Kendrick Lamar can break the all-time record remains to be seen, but for now, he remains at the top of his game.
