Aya Cash has updated the Boys prequel. Season 4 of The Boys ended this summer, and season 5 has been confirmed as the series’ last season. This season’s conclusion paved the way for an explosive final season, with the finale hinting at Homelander’s takeover in the show’s last season. The fifth season of The Boys has been confirmed and will be released sometime in 2026. In addition to The Boys season 5, a prequel series called Vought Rising has been revealed.

In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant on the red carpet for The Franchise, Cash provides an early update about Vought Rising. The actor mentioned that she has “read some scripts” for The Boys prequel series and said that “they’re really good.” Throughout her response, Cash was sure to emphasize that Stormfront is a very different person from herself and that her character is “bad bad bad.” Despite the vile nature of her character, Cash herself is “so excited to go back and work with those people again.” Check out the full quote from Cash below:

What This Update Means For Vought Rising

Vought Rising Is Still A Ways Out

Cash’s post has very little information on the plot of Vought Rising or its release date. However, the early update confirms that scripts for the prequel series are in the works. The Boys spinoff series Gen V is set to premiere in 2025, with season 5 following in 2026. This appears to rule out Vought Uprising in 2025, but it is feasible that it will appear between now and The Boys’ last season.

Cash’s statement provides more evidence that Stormfront will make a comeback in the Vought Rising television series. during the end of July, during San Diego Comic-Con, she was first mentioned along with Ackles’s reappearance. Regarding Ackles, the actor is coming back for season five of The Boys as well as Vought Rising. Stormfront will not be returning for The Boys season 5, as she passed away during the third season. Despite the fact that Vought Rising is a prequel, the franchise will be able to delve deeper into the character’s past even if The Boys ended her journey.
