‘The Boys’ Season 5: Karen Fukuhara’s Shocking Request for a Death Like a Game of Thrones Icon Will Blow Your Mind!

After making significant progress, Karen Fukuhara’s super identity in Prime Video’s The Boys now desires for Kimiko Miyashiro to have a satisfying plot twist of her own at the conclusion of the series. Her muteness makes the character identifiable, but the actor doesn’t want that to stand in the way of her development.

With the upcoming final season, fans are surely excited to see what’s in store for every character of the series, but they also have to prepare for the possible deaths of their favorite heroes and villains.

Karen Fukuhara Reveals Dream Death For Kimiko Miyashiro

During the San Diego Comic-Con, actress Karen Fukuhara answered to the subject of what her ideal death pitch for Kimiko Miyashiro from The Boys would be in an interview with TV Guide. At first, she was offended by the idea, blurting out:

“We are not doing that girl, we are not doing that, because I feel like it’s going to happen if I say it.”

She eventually came up with her own idea of her character’s death and of course, it has to be a meaningful one. She admitted to wanting a death like that of Arya Stark from Game of Thrones.

“I will say I want like the Arya Stark moment you know when she defeats the White Walker and nobody expected that, so perhaps maybe Homelander can be taken out by Kimiko. I don’t know, that would be a good death, like if I’m going to take him out, I would be willing to die.”

Fans would recall how Arya Stark used her stealth and agility to plunge the dagger through the Night King. No one expected that scene, let alone have the show’s most horrifying villain die at the hands of a young Stark girl.

Fukuhara is willing to let her character face death if it means she will be the one to 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 Antony Starr’s Homelander. That sounds very heroic, indeed, but she needs to pitch that hard to series creator Eric Kripke for it to happen.

Karen Fukuhara On Kimiko Miyashiro’s Growth In The Boys

While speaking with Euphoria magazine, Fukuhara reflected on Kimiko Miyashiro’s journey in The Boys. She recalled how she “started off on the ground, barefoot, covered in dirt and crawling around” and now she has become a full-blown warrior “in fishnet jeans and a full black outfit.”

The actress also commended her onscreen persona for “still doing a lot of damage, still 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ing a lot of people.” Kimiko started in survival mode, but as the series progressed, so did the character’s growth.

Fukuhara noted how her development went from always being in fight-or-flight mode to finding what it means to be a human. “You also start to see her figuring out what it means to be a woman as well,” the actress added.

It makes sense that she want a resolution similar to that of Arya Stark. Fans of the Game of Thrones character largely adore her for her bravery and rebellious spirit. Fukuhara wants Kimiko to do the same for her because she went above what society expected of her.
