“And so I think the greatest thing that I’ve ever learned in life is probably in that relationship with Future, because the reality of being a stepparent is that biologically they’re not necessarily yours, but the reality is that you have to love them as if they are,” Wilson said. “They’re your own blood in a way. You get to love them that way. And I think every kid deserves that and needs that and yearns for that.”

The Seahawks quarterback shares three kids with wife, Ciara. He is father to Future, 6, Sienna, 3, and seven-month-old Win.  Wilson met Future when he was 9-months-old. He and Ciara dated in 2015 and wed in July 2016.

“And the reality was that for me it was a blessing and an opportunity to really hopefully be there for him every day and try to care for him in a way that was important for me, that I always wanted someone to do for me. Like my dad did for me.”

The Seattle Seahawk expressed in the interview those special familiar moments that he definitely cherishes.

“They’re all so close. They all like taking care of each other, so every day I come home from work and it’s late at night, it’s after film and practice and all that, and me and Ciara are together, and we just smile from ear to ear in the kitchen because we realize that our family is a beautiful blended family but it’s also, you know, our family. It’s us.”

Just what does the 35-year-old singer think about her husband’s parenting s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s?

“The father in him is by far one of the things that makes him the most 𝓈ℯ𝓍y to me. Hot. To me it’s hot.”

Through good times and bad, Wilson sums up his interview with a forecast about their family’s journey together, “2021… I don’t know what you will bring… but for my family we will continue to Believe that Love is the way!”
