One memorable shot features a bikini-clad Clark flashing a peace sign while lounging on a boat alongside former MLB pitcher Will Matthiessen. Matthiessen is currently dating Clark’s teammate, Lexie Hull, who also joined the boat trip in a location that remains undisclosed.
Clark and Hull were all smiles as they enjoyed the sun on a large yellow raft, relishing three weeks of downtime before the Indiana Fever resumes WNBA action. Their getaway highlights the fun side of life off the court, allowing the players to unwind and recharge.
Caitlin Clark is likely enjoying her vacation in Mexico, as her teammate Lexie Hull mentioned in a recent TikTok that they were headed to the country after their game against the Dallas Wings on July 17.
After a whirlwind start to her WNBA career, including an appearance in last weekend’s All-Star Game, the 22-year-old is relishing some much-needed downtime. During the All-Star Game, Clark set a rookie record with 10 assists, helping Team WNBA triumph over USA Basketball, and even connected on the court with rival-turned-teammate Angel Reese.
Following the game, Clark expressed her excitement for the break, saying, “I honestly can’t wait to not touch a basketball for a while. I’ve shot too many times in the past year.” This vacation allows her to recharge and enjoy quality time with friends before returning to the court.
Clark added: ‘I think it’s hard as a professional athlete at times like people do always realize I feel like an individual just like all of you.
‘I’m just the same human. I go about my same daily life, I do all the things that you do, I just play basketball on top of that.’
Clark currently leads the WNBA in assists per game (8.2) and is averaging the most points per game for a rookie with 17.1.
She has also set a host of records in the big leagues already, recently putting up the most assists in a single game by a rookie with an astonishing 19 against Dallas.
