Game-Changer Alert: Eric Kripke Unveils Production Start for ‘The Boys’ Season 5!

Eric Kripke has now produced a number of extremely popular series.

The writer and showrunner is presently working on Amazon’s The Boys, which has become one of the greatest and most watched superhero shows ever since it debuted. The show consistently pushes the boundaries of what may be broadcast on television.

Season 4 of The Boys was a smashing hit, breaking viewership records and setting the bar even higher when compared to the previous seasons. The world is in disarray, and it seems that evil is on its way to triumph, but the cast and crew members have assured us that the fifth and final season is going to be crazy!

In light of that, we have found an old interview that showrunner Eric Kripke had with Variety, in which he revealed some important production information related to the fifth and final season of The Boys, but also about the future of the franchise as a whole.

This interview was given not that long ago, and in it, Kripke discussed the fourth season, the production process, and the future of the franchise as a whole. When asked about the dates and production schedule for the fifth season, he said the following:

I know you’re in the writers’ room writing Season 5 now, so what is the timeline for shooting and when it will air?

It’s not totally locked in yet but we are going to start shooting around mid-November. And I don’t know when it’ll premiere yet, but we’ll be shooting well into middle of ’25.

Will the final season be the usual eight episodes?

It will be eight episodes.

The season won’t be longer, and Kripke has everything planned. Filming should wrap by summer or early autumn 2025, with a possible premiere in early 2026—if all goes as planned.

What we’d like to add here is that Kripke was asked about the future of the franchise as a whole, and here is what he said:

What does this mean for “Gen V” and for the Mexico spinoff currently in the works?

I think they can and should continue. “The Boys” story is about Butcher and Homelander and these two planets crashing into each other and this particular story doesn’t work without both of them. And you can only keep that going for so long. So what I would say is, this particular story is ending, the Butcher-Homelander is ending.

But there can be other stories and other corners of the universe. And hopefully, it’s vibrant and perverted enough to allow for those stories. So hopefully, “Gen V” continues, hopefully, a couple other things we have in development continue.

A couple?

There’s more than “The Boys” Mexico spinoff, but we’re not ready to announce anything yet.

As you can see, the future of the franchise definitely seems bright, and we are looking forward to more updates.
