She found out she was pregnant during promotions.
Recently, Laboum‘s Yujeong, Lovelyz‘s Ryu Soojung, and ex-BVNDIT‘s Seungeun appeared on the CONSO YouTube channel and discussed their experiences as idols.
At one point in the episode, Yujeong spoke about her past company’s strict rules for the idols, which included a CCTV camera in the dorm’s shoe cabinet to monitor their movements.
They even had CCTV cameras in the dorm’s shoe cabinet to check whether we were going out or not. During our first year, I remember once I just wanted to get some bubble tea, so I went out briefly. But the company called me in and grilled me like, “Where did you go?” That’s how closely we were monitored.

These rules led one of the show’s hosts to ask how her former groupmate managed to have a relationship and get pregnant with such measures.
In 2017, rumors of then-Laboum’s Yulhee and FTISLAND Choi Minhwan‘s relationship were sparked after Yulhee accidentally shared photos of the two before their agencies confirmed the news.
Just a few months later, Yulhee’s departure from Laboum was announced. In January 2018, news reports revealed that the two were engaged and that Yulhee was pregnant. The couple did not confirm this until May, with Yulhee giving birth days later and the pair having already legally wed.
In a later interview, Yulhee revealed that she found out she was pregnant just a day after the dating news broke and had to continue promoting with Laboum for a while.

While in Laboum, the group were not allowed to have cell phones for the entirety of their seven year contracts, something that made even making friends hard. However, Yulhee was able to get around this with a simple, yet effective method, according to Yujeong.
Host: Then, how did Yulhee from LABOUM end up getting pregnant if you weren’t allowed to use cell phones?
Yujeong : She had a hidden phone and got caught.
Host: Oh, so it was like that?
Host #2: Yeah, she basically bought a burner phone, tucked it under her pillow or something… and eventually got caught.
