Taylor Swift has tremendously impacted her supporters, as proven by her sold-out concerts during her Eras Tour. Her influence has led to multi-platinum records, and her voice has motivated millions to act.

But as her effect takes center stage in the National Football League, former wide receiver Brandon Marshall has claimed that Swift wielded her sway to have Kanye West removed from Allegiant Stadium during Super Bowl 58 on Sunday, Feb. 11.

In a video uploaded to the I AM ATHLETE Twitter account, Marshall said:

“Kanye West pulls up to Vegas. Kanye West buys a ticket right in front of Katy Perry’s booth. So anytime they were going to be showing Katy Perry, Kanye face was going to be there. Oh my bad. In front of Taylor Swift’s booth.”“Taylor Swift gets pissed off. She boom boom makes a call to everybody’s involved. He gets kicked out the stadium… He was trying to leverage her celebrity. Now you gotta go back to the beef. You know, him cutting her off. Beyonce should have won it… But that’s what he tried to do. He tried to sit in front of Taylor Swift.”

The feud between Swift and West started at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when the hip-hop artist interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech for the Best Female Video award. West took the microphone and said, “Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.”

While they patched things up after that incident, their beef resurfaced when West had a controversial line about Swift in his 2016 song “Famous.” The rapper claimed he got permission from her to use the lyric suggesting they might have intercourse because he made her famous.

West doubled down on the feud by releasing the song’s music video, which featured a sculpture made in Swift’s likeness projected to be sleeping beside him. The conflict went so deep that West’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, also got involved.

In July 2016, Kardashian released a video of an alleged phone call between West and Swift. Four years later, a full version of that call made rounds online. However, Taylor Swift claimed the call was illegally recorded.

In December 2023, Taylor Swift said in a TIME Magazine interview that her feud with West and Kardashian was like a “career death.” According to Swift, the phone call Kardashian released prompted her to reside in a foreign country and push away several people.

But while Marshall’s claim about Swift having Kanye West kicked out of Super Bowl 58 is unverified, the 14-time Grammy Award winner was in high spirits after Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs won the game over the San Francisco 49ers.

Kelce threw an after-party in Las Vegas, which his girlfriend attended. An article by Page Six’s Tori Schneebaum shared that Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce was also in attendance.

Super Bowl 58 MVP Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, were also at the party. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid also stopped by. Attendees of Kelce’s party at Las Vegas’ Wynn Hotel witnessed musical performances from Ludacris, Tyga, Post Malone, Marshmello, and The Chainsmokers.
