RESPECT: Summary of Lil Wayne’s charitable activities around the world

Lil Wayne gave $200,000 to rebuild a New Orleans park following Katrina in 2005. Weezy gave because he played in the park as a kid and hoped it would inspire future musicians.

Wayne filmed a “Ball” music video with T.I. in this park in 2012.

The 2010 Haiti earthquake 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ed over 300,000 people and left over 1 m.i.ll..io.n. homeless. Lil Wayne sang on the charity tune “We Are The World 25 For Haiti”.

Kanye West, Miley Cyrus, Barbra Streisand, Pink, Celine Dion, Justin Bieber, Enrique Iglesias, and 40 more feature on “We Are The World 25 For Haiti”. Ronda Austin’s mother Evelyn received a Quantum 6000 wheelchair from Lil Wayne in 2010. Weezy recorded Bob Dylan’s “We Are The World” vocals for the tune and joked about it in an interview. Weezy met Ronda through her letters at Rikers.
