Back in March, Drake effectively broke Twitch by reeling in over 600,000 people to watch him play Fortnite with the popular streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins. But what began as a starstruck bromance of two dudes playing video games has come to an end. Drake has unfollowed Ninja on Instagram.

The Toronto native is no stranger to tapping that unfollow button whenever someone shares a few choice words about him in public. He unfollowed his ex Rihanna in May after she told Vogue they weren’t friends. This month Ninja may have crossed the line when discussing buying Drake’s merch.

“Is he gonna buy my next line of Ninja merch?” Ninja asked on his channel, during a Fortnite session. “Or my Ninja headband? Probably not. I feel like Drake saw that I was up-and-coming in the gaming scene, and he thought it would be a perfect way to just tap into another source of viewers by playing with me.”

Still, Ninja admitted that whatever Drake’s intentions, he’s still a fan. “He also might have just wanted to game, I’m not sure. But he’s a genius dude. I’d love to buy it but then I’d feel like very ‘fanny,’ which I am, ha. So yes, I will be buying the jacket, basically what I’m trying to say.”

He later expressed how disappointed he was with the situation on Twitter, revealing that Drake never paid him those $5,000 he promised for a Fortnite match.

Ninja understandably rejoiced when he found out @champagnepapi followed him on IG, so this may be a crestfallen day for the gamer. Word of advice? Never speak ill of the 6 God in public.
