‘The Boys’ Season 4 Trailer: Homelander Transforms the Seven Into ‘Wrathful Gods’ as Butcher Releases a Deadly Virus on Supes

In the upcoming fourth season of Amazon’s “The Boys,” Butcher (Karl Urban) and Homelander (Antony Starr) appear to be on the verge of destroying their entire lives, including those of others.

Butcher explains to Hughie (Jack Quaid), Starlight (Erin Moriarty), and the rest of the Boys in the “The Boys” Season 4 teaser that time is running out for him, and with the few numbered days he and his failing heart have left, he intends to unleash a lethal virus on the superhero community. He identified the same virus in the Season 1 finale of the spinoff “Gen V.” To complete the task, Butcher has partnered up with a new character, played by “Supernatural” veteran Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who appears to want superpowers eradicated completely as quickly as possible in order to rescue humanity.

Meanwhile, in Vought HQ, Homelander is increasing his patriotism by encouraging his squad to become “wrathful gods” against the protesting humans, including new members of The Seven, Firecracker (Valorie Curry) and Sister Sage (Susan Heyward).
