Unbelievable Twist: Anthony Joshua’s Heavyweight Comeback – Shocking Details Unveiled About Fight Date, Venue and Opponent!

Anthony Joshua won four fights in a row, including a second-round knockout of Francis Ngannou earlier this year.

Anthony Joshua will return to the ring in September, aiming to become a three-weight world champion.

Joshua has won four consecutive fights since losing his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in 2022. Most recently, he knocked out former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in the second round, five months after the Cameroonian nearly defeated Tyson Fury in Riyadh.

Joshua is now expected to return at Wembley this autumn against the winner of Daniel Dubois ‘ fight against Filip Hrgovic on June 1. That fight is likely to be for the IBF world title which will be stripped from the winner of Fury’s fight with Oleksandr Usyk tonight due to their mandatory obligations not being fulfiled.

And Joshua told talkSPORT : “Whenever they tell me there’s a date, you know I’ll be ready 100 per cent. It’s going to be in London, Wembley Stadium. This is what I’m being told. If that’s what they say, they normally back their word so let’s go with that. It will be Wembley, September 20 or 21.”

Joshua has also raised the prospect of fighting Deontay Wilder but the American has been earmarked for a fight with Jared Anderson, assuming he comes through his fight against Zhilei Zhang this summer. And Saudi Arabia’s boxing supremo mapped out his plans in an interview on the MMA Hour.

“We have the [Fury vs Usyk] rematch, we want to do the rematch in the beginning of Riyadh Season this year, in October. That’s the deadline for us,” he said. “It has to be the [Fury vs Usyk] rematch in October, and after that, my plan in the first quarter of 2025 is to have Joshua fight the winner.

“We have Joshua’s fight in September, it depends on the result on June 1, the Hrgovic fight – because now we love Wilder vs Jared Anderson on the card in Los Angeles. I just finished the card of Wembley, it will be a crazy card.” Since losing to Usyk, Joshua has beaten Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin and Ngannou.
