Walker on The CW may not be returning for a second season, but Jared Padalecki may be lining up a new part.
Jared Padalecki’s Walker has been officially canceled and will not return for Season 5. However, this is not an issue because the performer may have a future part lined up.
Jared Padalecki is famous for his role as Sam Winchester in The CW’s long-running fantasy show Supernatural. The series came from Eric Kripke, who later created Prime Video’s hit show The Boys. With Walker officially over after the recent cancelation, Padalecki might join Kripke’s satirical superhero show.
Eric Kripke confirmed he is looking forward to bringing the team back. The show includes several Supernatural stars, including Jensen Ackles and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who is set to make his debut in the upcoming Season 4. “Texts have been sent,” Kripke told Entertainment Weekly days before Walker‘s cancelation news.
“I feel like it would be a bummer to not have Jared on the show one way or another at this point, even if it’s just the one-episode thing. He’s been shooting Walker, but with that show wrapping up, maybe he’ll have some time to come in and play with us. I would love it. We have definitely talked about it.”

This isn’t the first time there has been a conversation about the actor joining the series. Jared Padalecki also addressed the possibility of joining The Boys not long ago. Padalecki seemed interested in joining the show, but he had one condition: he needed time to get in shape. “My response to him 90% of the time is, ‘Dude, I’m 41 now with three kids. I’m not 25 and working out three hours a day. I know you’re going to fucking make me get naked, so give me a heads-up.'”
“I’m in, but let me get a nutritionist and a trainer and get in the hyperbaric chamber for eight months before you make me show up.” But yeah, it would obviously be a lot of fun to see Kripke again and to work on that show, which is a great show that I’m a fan of.”
Jared Padalecki Addressed Walker’s Cancelation
After the news of Walker‘s cancelation, Jared Padalecki hopped on social media to show his disappointment over the decision. He also didn’t forget to credit everyone who worked on the series, for which he also held an executive producer title.
“It’s a tough piece of news to be sure, but we are SO thankful for the #WalkerFamily that has been built, both on set and off,” Padalecki wrote on his Instagram account. After four seasons together, we have felt the love and support from the entire #WalkerFamily, and we will be forever grateful. Too often, we get to be the ones receiving the praise and gratitude and flattery and, all too often, we miss the opportunity to put it back where it belongs… WITH THE FANS!”
Padalecki added, “It has been a unique honor to be a part of the cast and crew (and fandom!) that helped #Walker tell the stories that we told. I will forever smile on the years I got to spend with the cast and crew and studio and network and fandom that made this all possible.”
