Kendrick Lamar has announced that “The Pop Out – Ken and Friends,” a Los Angeles show, will take place on Juneteenth.

Kendrick Lamar has announced a one-time event in Los Angeles on June 19, also known as Juneteenth, following his recent verbal altercation with Drake.

The Pop Out — Ken and Friends is an event that pgLang and Free Lunch are presenting. The Kia Forum concert’s presale tickets will go on sale via the Cash App Card on Thursday at 10 a.m. PT, and the general on-sale will begin on Friday at 10 a.m. PT on Ticketmaster.com.

On his social media accounts, Lamar himself revealed the all-ages event along with a picture of a license plate with information on the performance. At 4 p.m. PT, Ken and Friends will start.

Of course, “The Pop Out” is a reference to a lyric from Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” where he raps, “Sometimes you gotta pop out and show n—s / Certified boogeyman, I’m the one that up the score with ’em.” The song was a diss directed at Drake that released a month ago and has continued on to scale the top of the charts, arguably becoming the most successful of the songs released between Drake and Lamar.

The two rappers attacked each other’s physical attributes, accused each other of pedophilia, and asserted that there were children hidden away during their duel. Drake’s “The Heart Part 6,” a parody of Kendrick Lamar’s eponymous song series, marked the conclusion of the event and indicated that Drake was growing weary of their ongoing feud.

Drake recently made a reference to the battle with a verse on Sexyy Red’s “U My Everything,” where he rapped over producer Metro Boomin’s diss beat “BBL Drizzy.” Metro helped facilitate the start of the beef with Lamar’s appearance on his song “Like That,” a collaboration with Future that came out in March.
