Jaw-Dropping: AJ’s First Words After Fury vs Usyk Leave Fans in Shock – Grudge Match Postponed.

EDDIE HEARN has revealed Anthony Joshua’s initial remarks after Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk had exchanged blows.

The Gypsy King lost a split decision to the slick southpaw in their historic undisputed heavyweight title fight in Saudi Arabia last Saturday.

Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury in their undisputed heavyweight title fight last weekend.

Anthony Joshua was ringside for the historic heavyweight showdown.

Promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed AJ’s immediate reaction after the final bell.

Joshua, 34, was ringside for the Riyadh rumble along with Cristiano Ronaldo and looked pensive as Fury and Usyk traded heavy leather.

AJ showed no emotion as Michael Buffer announced Usyk as the winner, a result he believed was clear and evident.

Matchroom Boxing chief Hearn told BoxNation: “I went over to him after the fight and I said, ‘What do you think? Who’s got it?’

“He went, ‘Are you joking?’ I went, ‘No’. He went, ‘Usyk’s the clear winner.’

“I was like – a lot of people felt like that. I had him winning, but narrowly.”

Fury’s defeat to Usyk has wrecked Saudi Arabia’s intentions for him to face AJ in the Battle of Britain next March.

Their long-awaited fight could take place late next year, as Fury’s victory in his October rematch with the Ukrainian is expected to set up a trilogy.

Hearn believes AJ and Fury may reconcile before the former WBC heavyweight champion faces Usyk once more.

He stated on Matchroom’s YouTube page, “I don’t think Tyson Fury will be over the moon with five or six weeks off.”

“But that’s the obligation, there’s a lot of money.

“Who knows? If Usyk’s injured, can’t make the date, do you make Fury against Joshua – with the winner fighting Usyk?

“I mean the answer for me is, ‘Yes, please.’

“But it’s down to His Excellency [Turki Al-Sheikh] and the fighters to make the decisions.

“They have a contracted rematch, but they have to be physically able to make that date.

“And I guess that’s the next obstacle to overcome.”

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua, who is on a four-fight winning streak, is scheduled to return to the ring in September.

On June 1, he will face the winner of Filip Hrgovic vs. Daniel Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title.
