Kendrick Lamar Celebrates ‘Not Like Us’ Video Views, Another Win Against Drake

Kendrick Lamar has scored yet another victory over Drake thanks to his “Not Like Us” video. The music video for K. Dot’s chart-topping diss song has raced to more than 41 million views on YouTube in the six days since its release last Thursday (July 4), cruising past Drizzy’s own diss track “Family Matters.”

That video, released over two months ago at the height of the high-profile battle, has racked up 35 million views (and counting).

“Family Matters” was also quickly overshadowed by Kendrick’s other diss song “Meet the Grahams” which was released roughly an hour later, fueling speculation that the Compton rapper had a mole in his rival’s camp.

YouTube isn’t the only arena in which Kendrick has bested Drake.

He has also dominated the OVO Sound hitmaker on streaming services, with “Not Like Us” amassing over 470 million streams on Spotify alone compared to 122 million for Drizzy’s “Push Ups.”

In fact, the Mustard-produced anthem has broken several of the 6 God’s records, including dethroning “God’s Plan” as the fastest rap song to reach 100 million streams on Spotify.

Kendrick’s widely perceived victory has also been underlined on the charts. “Not Like Us” and “Like That,” his collaboration with Future and Metro Boomin that set alight the long-simmering beef, both reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while “Euphoria” peaked at No. 3.

Drake, meanwhile, failed to crack the top five, with “Family Matters” and “Push Ups” maxing out at No. 6 and No. 10, respectively.

Kendrick’s wider catalog also enjoyed a boost during the contest, with past albums like good kid, m.A.A.d cityTo Pimp a Butterfly and DAMN. seeing huge surges on the Billboard 200.

Drizzy’s discography, on the other hand, suffered a slight slump.

Despite being deemed by many to have lost the battle, even some of Kendrick Lamar’s close friends aren’t counting Drake out just yet.

While weighing in on the beef earlier this week, Ab-Soul backed the Toronto rap star to make a comeback, although he claimed that Drake was never a lyrical match for his former TDE labelmate.

“If Drake is the MC I imagine he can be. Redemption is not off the table,” Solo wrote on X (formerly Twitter), before adding: “Key word ‘MC.’”

He then said: “But b4 my rant gets out of context. He could never Fucc wit da Gang’Nem on sum rap shyt. That was Never a question. We could still ‘potentially’ match ‘artistry’. (Removing my obvious personal/educated bias).”
