ScHoolboy Q’s Canada Show Gets Canceled Amid Drake & Kendrick Lamar Beef

ScHoolboy Q‘s show in Toronto has been abruptly canceled — and he suspects it has something to do with Drake and Kendrick Lamar‘s recent feud.

The TDE rapper announced on Wednesday (July 17) that his concert in the Canadian city, which was scheduled to take place on Thursday night (July 18) at History, a venue co-owned by Drake and Live Nation, was no longer going ahead.

“THey just cancelled my sHow in TORONTO… CANADIAN POLICE DONT WANT NOBODY FROM TDE PERFORMING,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Further alluding to his conspiracy theory, Q pointed out that there has been numerous peaceful moments between TDE and OVO, as well as the two camps’ respective cities, in recent weeks.

“TOP was just wit Wayne & Baby smH,” he wrote, referencing TDE founder Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith’s appearance at Birdman and Cash Money’s YouTube Leaders & Legends Gala. “[P]artynextdoor just Had a sHow @ tHe palladium.”

Appearing to threaten violence, he added: “[I]f we wanted to get yall we would’ve just did it.. now wHen sumbody get Hurt don’t cry…”

He then joked about his cameo in the music video for Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” diss song, saying: “Actually I get it.. Nvm tHis sHit Lokey Hilarious… Iono wHy dot put me in tHat fucking video. [crying face emoji] cancelled is all I could tHink about.”

When a fan suggested that Q’s Toronto show being canceled means he will avoid potentially being attacked in Drake’s hometown, he replied: “I don’t tHink u know wHo I am. In fact I do t tHink a lot of u know wHo I am.”

However, he later U-turned on his previous comment and made it clear that he wasn’t threatening Drizzy or his entourage.

“I neva said ‘ima 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 sumbody’ im saying if we wanted to crack it off we could’ve smH,” he clarified. “Rap and move on playin tuff gon get sumbody Hurt it’s all good [crying face emoji] ima soccer dad.”

While ScHoolboy Q is blaming the rivalry between his former TDE labelmate and the 6 God for his axed performance, Toronto has been victim to some extreme weather in recent days, with even Drake’s own home succumbing to flooding.

It should be noted that tickets for Q’s show are still available to buy from Ticketmaster as of writing.

The last rapper who wasn’t on friendly terms with Drake to perform in Canada was Rick Ross, who ended up getting sucker punched.

Rozay and his entourage were ambushed at a music festival in Vancouver last month after the MMG mogul played Kendrick’s aforementioned diss track “Not Like Us” to close out his set.

A group of Drizzy fans did not take kindly to the move, punching Ross in the face and leaving a member of his team completely unconscious.

Ross later brushed off the assault, saying: “Aye man, I’m thinking about the event that happened over there. When the first dude stepped up to Rozay, the lil’ short fat one that looked like Bam Bam Bigelow from wrestling. When he stepped up, I squatted down and his eyes had told him what I said.”

He added: “Basically, boy, if I hit you, I’ma see everything you ate for the last two days. His balls dropped out of his ass. He never said another word, he did never did nothing. He was a straight busta.”
