Shiloh, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s kid, has made a’significant decision’ to lose her father’s surname.
The 18-year-old, one of the former couple’s six children, applied for the name change on her birthday this year, May 27. The announcement was made through a legal notice published in the Los Angeles Times.

Shiloh’s lawyer, Peter Levine, said in a statement on behalf of the adolescent that she’made an autonomous and major decision following painful circumstances,’ and that she was’merely following legal process’ when sharing the material.
“Shiloh Jolie did not take out a “ad” announcing any name change, and any press coverage that is inaccurate,” Levine stated to People.
Shiloh’s attorney must post a legal notice to comply with California legislation regarding name changes. The legal notification was published in the Los Angeles Times, as required.

The couple has five children: Shiloh, Maddox (22), Pax (20), Zahara (19), and twins Vivienne and Knox (16).
Zahara and Vivienne have both eliminated Pitt from their names, but it is unknown whether Vivienne did so officially.
A recent story claims that Pitt has ‘almost no contact’ with his older children.
A month after Shiloh petitioned to drop his last name, a source told People that Pitt’s relationship with his older children is still poor.
‘He has hardly no communication with the adult children. His involvement with the younger children has been limited in recent months due to his filming schedule,’ the insider revealed.
Angelina filed for divorce from the star in 2019, five years after they married.
The union ended on a sour note, and their children appear to have chosen sides.
The two directors have been feuding over their French vineyard and home since the Tomb Raider star sold her $64 million part to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler in 2021.

They later got into an ugly back-and-forth about NDAs, which have become a sticking point in their argument.
Jolie has now asked Pitt to ‘stop the fighting’ and dismiss the case against her so that their family can ‘heal.’
According to insiders, the Fight Club star has no intention of dropping the case. Jolie took the plea after finding her case was weaker than she believed.
‘Brad will not drop this lawsuit; why would he? This was a conventional commercial argument, but Angelina repeatedly injected personal components that are better suited to a divorce court, according to a source familiar with the issue.
